With streaming giant Netflix reaping wild rewards with its financed and licensed K-dramas, another big name platform is joining the fun with Apple+ producing its first K-drama titled Mr. Robin. It’s based on the webtoon Dr. Brain and is about a genius doctor solving crime through the brains of the deceased and is scheduled to be a 6-episode drama. Headlining the cast is Lee Seon Kyun along with Lee Yoo Young, Yoo Teo, and Seo Ji Hye, and I’m screaming why this cast can’t also do a full length K-drama because it’s just an incredibly awesome four-some. Directing is award winning movie director Kim Jee Woon who directed A Tale of Two Sisters, A Bittersweet Life, The Good, The Bad, The Weird, I Saw the Devil, and Age of Shadows. Woweee, so much talented working together.
This year 2024 has been a slow year for K-actress Suzy in terms of her…
There are weird casting choices and this one is weird from both the leads itself…
Well this is an interesting pairing, setting aside the age difference at least I can…
I swear I just wrote about Song Joong Ki having his first baby and then…
At the end of the day, the core of any good drama remains the Story,…
If I didn't know this drama was a romance set in space and done K-drama…

not a fan of medical themes, hardly accurate depiction of reality. lmao! skip
I’m not a fan of medical dramas either. But the short 6 episode length along with a solid cast is enticing enough for me to give it a try.
Just had THE conversation last night with the hubby about how many streaming services we really need. As much as I love Lee Sun Kyun, I draw the line at Apple TV. I hope Kdramas on Apple TV don't become too big a thing.?
Is Apple TV+ any good? Do they have the Netflix or HBO quality?
Great casting! I'm happy that Yoo Teo is given more roles! He's great.
Wow! What a cast we got here!
All great actors both male and female.
Pity its too short, only 6 episodes.
Wish korean production houses can come out with such good castings for their dramas.
This is great, looking forward to this! Apple TV has some quality shows so far and produced my favorite show of 2020, Ted Lasso.
Also, 6 episodes hopefully means the cast had access to the entire script and were impressed by the quality. I also think they might have been attracted to the platform it will be on. Personally don’t care about the length as long as it’s good, I’m used to watching mini-series anyway.
apple tv and netflix will now compete to give better kdramas and kissasian and dramacool will provide them for free...
