Vincenzo Episode 19 Builds on Emotional Momentum to Deliver Risk and Redemption with Ratings of 11.854%

I’m mentally tearing up already watching episode 19 of Vincenzo, knowing it’s the penultimate episode makes it even more bittersweet. It’s been my weekend companion for 10 weeks now and other than the rather shaky first two episodes this journey has been 100% satisfying. This episode hit all the beats I expected, it wasn’t surprising that the denizens helped with the gold removal already, that Joon Woo got out of prison to enact his psychotic style revenge, and that Vincenzo has won the hearts of everyone he’s met while meting out just punishment to those who do not repent and course correct. The murder of the corrupt prosecutor was hard to watch but well laid out, that Vincenzo time and again told him to stop and he just persisted while insisting he was somehow on the side of right. Count me on the side of the romance ship where I love the beautifully developed connection between Cha Young and Vincenzo so the care and love even is there but we’re not getting the usual bread crumbs of super romantic scenes. That’s fine, if this was a 24-episode drama I could see that extra time used for this but there really has been too much story to tell so I want to see this Babel tower burned down and those who have walked or found the new path of righteousness win their future.

  • Myung Hee, the true villain of this drama stayed true to her character as always. She went into shelter and unleashed her mad dog to do the job. Haha...

  • Disappointed with the ending. The moral lesson of the drama is bad. Song Joong ki is Great but I can say The Fiery Priest is still the writers best drama. I'm not against Vincenzo but I think at least he doesn't deserve to be free from all the things that he done. I know he seeks justice for other people but his character is still bad he doesn't deserve the happy ending. Just my opinion.

  • Awesome ending. Every episode made my heart beat due to anticipation of what is going to happen next every weekend. I am not ready to let go of this drama yet, may re-watch it again. The whole cast did a superb job. I hope for Season 2.

  • Yet another successful kdrama that becomes 6th highest rated drama for tvn and 9th for cable channels.
