Alrighty, take this with the usual grain of salt but it’s definitely more than random conjecture. The production behind the K-drama adaptation of revenge novel The Youngest Son of Sunyang is heading into pre-production, starting this July, and with it are hiring calls for the staff and behind the scenes team. The drama is slated to film through April 2022 so it’s a good year away. I did think it was interesting timing that the K-netizens were starting to talk about who should be cast as the wrongfully accused turned vengeful male lead and clearly the rumors of this project finally getting off the ground is true. What’s new is that DC Inside and all the industry gossip threads all say that the male lead is going to be Song Joong Ki, which OMG that was not who I was expecting. I feel like it was be Nice Guy part deux but then again Song Joong Ki can do anything. He’s so back on top of his game after Vincenzo I’m sure he’s swatting away script so if he does take this I’m certain it will be an interesting and worthwhile project.

I don't think it will be him. DC inside rumor usually wrong
Hmm, another revenge plot. I kinda want to see him play a doctor next lol. In other news, I've been watching this new drama Law School on Netflix and I actually find it entertaining. I like how they approach each episode and most of the supporting characters have meaty back stories. Kim Bum does not really stand out here but he's not bad either. I like the ensemble cast.
lol wrongly accused, Nice guy much? I think he won't take it because the roles is alot similar to Nice Guy? Buy since this is Sageuk who knows. But I think it's just a rumor. Arthdal hasn't even officially cancelled yet
Please please please let him take this meaty role.
So many posts about SJK. He's so loved by Koala, lol. On to other news, I've been watching the highlights of DAYS. Last one is the best. SIG & PBY shine the most in the comedic scenes. Absolutely nailed it. Her doing the seductive ramyeon noodles invite & him in nonchalantly lying on HER bed saying "Hi brother-in-law." Wish he was shirtless though. Awesome line-up of Gummy, Ailee, TXT, Baekhyun, Davichi & SIG himself doing the OST.
The DAYS OST is produced by the same company that did the OST of DOTS, Beauty Inside & Chief Of Staff. Looks like tvn invested a lot of love & attention in this drama. Will watch it for the OST alone.
I mean, he's trending these days thanks to Vincenzo (and not just internet trend, it actually got great ratings). Not a surprise if she posts about him!
It stayed on the top 3 position in the April's Good Rating TV Buzz list. Dont see why not
Never though koala love sjk very much i though her love si lee min ho,hyun bin or kim soo hyun.Hey koala since you like song joong ki,why not write teory about song joong ki and jeon hye been dating?I'm sure will bring traffic for you.
Go read fanfiction if that's what you want, why bother koala about so called "theories".
Are you jealous of Vincenzo or something? It is the 6th highest rated drama on Netflix and the 9th highest series on cable TV.
It's been ten years since we last saw SJK in a sageuk (Arthdal Chronicles isn't a historical drama, more like AU fantasty), so I'll be interested if he takes this one! His drama choices are usually interesting/meaty ones, he chooses well.
so this drama is saeguk. where you found this info?
It's not. I don't see how a modern term like "chaebol" and sageuk go together, the OP's clearly gotten it wrong. This project has been in the works for a long time and I've never seen it being labelled a sageuk.
Wouldn't this storyline be too complex to make into a drama?! They will need a really skillful PD to pull everything together. And it's a good choice if they cast SJK in the male lead "roles". :-)
