Remember Mainland China has tons of censorship rights and requirements on its stars to be upstanding role models for the public? Yeah, that’s going to now bite one more misbehaving loutish star in the arse AND cause drama viewers frustration as well. The C-drama adaptation of The Golden Hairpin (青簪行 Qing Zhan Xing) was one of the highest profile C-dramas on deck this year and it was supposed to air later in 2021 as evidenced on it’s promotion on streaming platforms. Then a few weeks ago male lead Kris Wu (Wu Yi Fan) started getting juice dropped on him by first one woman and now a total of four women who said that he dated her and then cheated on her and ghosted her. So he’s a douchey dater in real life, not a total surprise. But this has apparently been enough bad morals for the government to step in and C-netizens noticed that The Golden Hairpin promotions have all disappeared from streaming sites in recent days and the rumor is that Kris Wu will be placed on the “bad celebrity” list, the same one Fan Bing Bing (tax fraud) and Zheng Shuang (tax fraud, surrogacy, abandoning kids) is on. I’m just annoyed the drama so many people worked on is getting dragged by one dude’s assholery to women he’s dated.

This why they need to release drama asap after producing.. so that when things turn out bad the drama already aired.
I dont condone cheating but to put him on the blacklist is so OTT. Sure, he's a playboy but he is not married. I am sure quite a handful of non-celeb guys out there are of similar characters. And I am also sure a lot of male celebs are equally player as Kris Wu. Unless, he committed really serious crimes, I just find the punishment is too hefty.
Look at the poster. I'm not sure this version of Wu Yifan is pretty enough for people to overlook the fact that he's one of the worst actors ever. His scandal is probably the least of people's concerns, he was and still is infamous for his licentious ways.
That’s what I was thinking when this drama was announced! He can hardly emote in modern youth movie, how the heck is he going to carry a historical role?!
I have no feelings regarding Kris Wu, but man are you seriously shelving YangZi’s historical?! This is a crime. And also, he is not married and dating casually, unless it’s a crime then who cares?!
This doesn’t seem to be officially confirmed? Can’t find another source that says the same thing
That is likely why Yang Zhi's fan are so against her pairing with Kris from the beginning... Well, if this new is true..then it is really unfortunate.
Kris must have really offended someone to get his womanising ways exposed.
Hm. It’s actually not the first time of him being exposed as a f*ckboi. Perhaps now it involves character offenses (cheating and unfaithfulness—thus being a bad influence as idols) so the repercussions are more severe?
It’s hard to judge the censorship when the gov’t does what it wants. Lol
Agree...they really do as they want.
Imagine if he stayed kn Exo, and this scandal broke out now..Boy would have gotten dragged by people from both countries..
He is a douchebag but i don't think they should let hard-work of other people go to waste
I hope they don't shelve it indefinitely and just use this as an opportunity to recast with a better actor and refilm...but probably very unlikely since it's a 60 episode drama. I hope there is a high financial penalty for him to compensate the production.
If he is single, who cares. It's not like this type thing hasn't been done by both sexes over the years. Celebrities all have a facade and, at this point, I don't know why people are still buying into it.
I do not think that this drama should be delayed, but I would not mind if they ban Kris Wu forever. He is the type of person I seriously dislike. Others would be guys such as Edison Chen, G-dragon and Seungri. They always pretend as if they were raised in the ghettos of LA and therefore deserve a lot of "street cred". I remember a YouTube video about Kris Wu's cars... It is so cringeworthy. He talks about why he does not drive a Lamborghini, because "guys like him grew up on the streets". Anyways... Whoever wants to laugh at this guy... Here is the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MS3GVHMbc9o
