After the SBS zombie sageuk drama Joseon Exorcist debacle, I just hoped that none of the cast members would be negatively affected by the netizen witch hunt to yeet that drama out of existence. Male lead Jang Dong Yoon clearly was highly scrutinized to express appropriate levels of remorse for being involved with the drama and I’m not sure if overall K-netz are suitably appeased. Thankfully he’s not going into hibernation as K-ent is reporting that he’s been offered the male lead in the rom-com drama My Man is Cupid which sounds super rom-com just by the title alone. It’s the story of a fallen fairy who now runs a high end restaurant in Seoul who falls in love after being shot by his own love arrow and a woman who loses her soulmate when she gets wrapped up in this matter. The drama is slated to film later this year with an 2022 airing date though no network has yet been confirmed. I hope he takes it as this drama has zero probability to offend and hopefully gets his career back on track.

You never know what causes netizens to go crazy. For instance a modern day plot can also offend with the wrong PPL (mainly if of Chinese origin or just a Chinese product) i.e. Vincenzo. Or maybe its a restaurant that serves another country's dish that isn't Korean and both knetz and inetz get offended. No room to breathe these days.
