Coupang Play Buys Streaming Rights to SBS Drama Red Sky for Simul-stream on Waave Online
Okay SBS, we’re like one month out from highly anticipated sageuk romance Red Sky (Hong Chun Gi) and you’re killing me here with zero promos yet other than the very early teaser at the beginning of the year and the script reading stills. Grah, it’s like you want me to slowly bang my head against the wall in frustration because I need this drama like three months ago. Hopefully today’s news kick starts the promo circuit finally. Coupang Play continues to get into the drama business and will be simultaneously broadcasting Red Sky on its Waave online site after buying the streaming rights to the drama. I’m a bit sad it won’t be on Netflix because I think this sageuk with the beautiful cast and amazing visuals (from the promos) would appeal to a broader audience outside of just South Korea. But whatever, the more the merrier and just give me Kim Yoo Jung in a sageuk on my screen as soon as possible to keep me appeased.

True enough. I don't know why are no promotions yet for the drama that will be aired already this Aug. 23. What is SBS doing? They're busy selling the drama but forgot to promote it. I guess they are focus on selling the drama after so much loss from Joseon Exorcist.
Hong Chun Gi seems so close yet so far.
This is the first drama that made me wait for so loooooooonnnnnngggggg........
I mean, you tease us since the awards night but now that its airing date is coming in August, there's only a short time to properly promote it but what they gave is only the script reading pics. SBS didn't even annoumce if HCG will really air by August. I only knew it through streaming site VIU and VIKI who will air the drama as well.
I feel like promoting closer to the air date is better so it will be more fresh and feel new in the mind. Super excited!

I have been waiting for KYJ sageuk comeback after 5 years, so I'm really expecting good promotion for this drama.

Yeah. I think it will affect the rating if they gonna air it simultaneously. I really think they're busy selling it to recover from their current lost.
But I still hope for the success of Hong Chu Gi.

Does anyone know when will it really aired? On twitter they say it's August, some say it's September.
I wanna see again KYJ beauty from character posters to the main posters and presscon. I hope SBS starts promoting it.
