Light and Dark Brush Work Paintings Create Illustrative and Lovely First Official Teaser Posters for SBS Sageuk Red Sky

SBS is totally playing coy with the promos for upcoming sageuk romance drama Red Sky (Hong Chun Gi), it has assembled a gorgeous cast but the production continues to tease without putting the leads front and center (yet). Two new teaser posters were released today, a light and a dark ink brush paintings of trees, flowers, and butterflies. Female lead Kim Yoo Jung plays the titular Hong Chun Gi who is a painter and becomes the first female painter for the Joseon court so using paintings as posters is both lovely and a nice touch to the story line. Plus male lead Ahn Hyo Seob‘s character is a blind astrologer so the bright versus darkness backdrops also tie into his situation. Nicely done SBS.

I want to see the leads posters already and a trailer. SBS is being so mysterious.
HCG is already done filming yesterday so I hope they can promote it already. It will air on Aug. 23 so less than 1 month and no trailer yet or character posters. I'm so impatient already.
The poster is really good, don't really into the drama since it's a month a away anyway but those poster is good.

The story is about Hong Chun Gi as the only female painter in Joseon dynasty. But I read they changed the dynasty into the Dan Dynasty. I'm not sure if it's fictional. Wishing this drama will not face any controversy. I love the novel so much.
Praying for the success of this drama. I'm really a fan of this genre. Sageuk, fantasy,romance, melodrama. The first teaser last Dec. is so good already.
I heard a snippet of the OST for this drama at SBS showcase and all the feels was there. I can't really wait to watch.
