It’s countdown time officially for tvN drama adaptation of popular webtoon Yumi’s Cells, now confirmed to premiere on September 17th. It will air on Fridays only and also simul-stream on TVing. The network released two posters this week, one featuring both leads Kim Go Eun and Ahn Bo Hyun and the other of just Kim Go Eun with her cells. The cells really steal the show in the webtoon and look to do the same here in the drama. The illustrations of the cells are so dynamic and effective, capturing each cell purpose concisely and making each one-note character come to life. The posters are pretty boring but I remain optimistic this sweet story will get the proper drama treatment.

I liked the 1st released poster more than this one, that orange and cyan colors bothers me. But Goeun looks so cute in both!
Is this how their characters are supposed to look like in the webtoon? Because if not, the styling is awful.

A kdrama male lead with long hair and facial hair..i know it's a tiny detail but I'm just happy to see it. Kim Go Eun's hairstyle is growing on me, I actually like that she has a unique look and the male lead looks really normal and down to earth.
The tiny cells will be the most important aspect of this drama, if they are warm and entertaining and as fully involved in the drama as they are in the webtoon, then it should be a cute and fun watch. They look really adorable so far too so i'm optimistic at this point. Thanks for keeping us up to date on promos for this drama!

I love Yumi's cells! And the actor fits the character to the T, even his shirt! I still can't get over KGE being Yumi. Just doesn't feel right
