This is about as good as it gets when one f*#ks up royally in life and is caught. Accept responsibility, admit fault, apologize as needed, and hope that atonement allows this to be gradually forgotten and become an asterisk in life. Such is that case with top movie actor Ha Jung Woo as he attended the public court hearing for his illegal propofol use which came to light after the Gangnam plastic surgery clinic was discovered to have administered it to him under his brother’s name and during procedures when it was not medically needed. Ha Jung Woo appeared before the Judge and pled guilty, he was ordered to pay a 10 million won fine (about $87,000 USD) and got probation. Upon exiting the court, he was mobbed by the media and he stopped to answer their questions. He accepted guilt, admitted he did it and it was a mistake, and promised to repent and spend the rest of his life being the best actor he can be for the public. K-netizens aren’t keen to forgive this easily but I’ve seen worse behavior from other K-actors get forgotten so I’m actually good with his direct and contrite approach.

Y yo aquí viendo the penthouse 3 y pensando que en Corea las cosas no son así en la realidad
I may like Ha Jung Woo but like others he is sorry to have been caught ! That's all . With all the cases about propofol use in K industry, it's not like he didn't know the law . I do admire Yoon Eun Hye for standing upright when she was accused by a stylist for plagiarism . She wasn't an hypocrit . She lost a lot but she didn't do the apologizing decorum .
And that is why she is no longer in the game. Sometimes, in business, you have to play the game to stay in the game, which is acting, modeling, cfs, example.
Especially as a woman, and a woman in South Korea, where you aren’t forgiven or given second chances as easily as men, if you want to stay in the business for the long run, you have to bow your head sometimes.
Fortunately, she is wealthy enough that she doesn’t have to play by those rules…. I hope.
She did apologized (remember that Samantha Thavasa's event where she bowed holding ST's bag) except that she apologized TOO LATE and the fact that it's always harsher standard for women. That is why the Korean public in general no longer accept her.
YEH apologize after she took an awards for it though. She apologized because she gets caught since she is been doing it the whole competition but didn't want to admit her wrong doing that can jeopardize her position at the time. That's why people disappointed at her, propofol abuse by HJW is about incriminating himself but YEH is about her and the fashion industry because she is taken other people's hardwork. She also deny it at 1st before giving clarification long after the issue happened.
This isn't the woman vs man issue , it's more of how people react to crime that affect individual vs denying other people's contribution. How does YEH even comes into this discussion, smh.
Sure, @Lola but she apologize for the concern and didn't admit plagiarism . She was inspired by some famous european stylists and you can call it a kind of hommage or reference as when some directors when they do some scenes who are clearly the same as the ones of Hitchcock's movies . Some photoshoot's concepts from different artists are exactly the same ,Britney Spears 's Toxic song was a plagia of a classical menuet of XVI century ... one who is the figure of plagiarism is Jeff Koontz but he stills exposing and selling . I still don't get the apologizing thing perhaps because i'm european . As for ha Jung Woo , he is an actor i like very much and i 'll watch his movies . The only things i can't accept it's all that includes violence, abuse, ...
He isn't any better looking, for using it.
In fact he was better looking before.
He was more handsome with the scars it gave him a unique charm .
Dam kshowbiz seem to be so dirty and corrupted. So many illegal sh** going on. I used to like follow Korean entertainment because they were so obsessed to showcase the world how innocent and clean they are... For real it's disgusting. Has drop it after so many disgusting case were being revealed. Just can't see their actor's the same anymore. ??
