Playing doctor is always a fun role and for Rain he’s going to be both a doctor and one who shares two souls. Upcoming tvN medical fantasy drama Ghost Doctor has gotten the green light and a time slot on the network, slated to air in the first half of 2022. It will be Rain’s drama comeback project in three years since Welcome 2 Life and will costar UEE, Kim Bum, and Son Na Eun. UEE is an idol turned actress who has proven her acting ability but her same gen idol turned actress Son Na Eun feels like someone in the acting industry keeps trying so hard to make her acting career happen and she remains so so sooooo bad. I’m thrilled as well to see Kim Bum in this cast as he’s really made a consistent comeback now with two dramas in a row and this pick sounds promising for him. The drama is from the PD of Heirs and Dear Judge and the screenwriter of Live Up to Your Name.

Why is it that Kim Bum is still cast as Second lead?
I mean he was great in both law school and nine tailed fox...it's long due,the guy has been a second lead for years.

Rain, UEE and Son Na Eun, 3 idols in the main cast. Son Na Eun is really bad as an actress.
Kim Bum was really good in his 2 last dramas, but I'm not sure that I will watch this drama...
I wont put rain into idol category tho, he is more like solo artist, not an idol. He's been in acting industry since 2003/2004, and appeared in hollywood movies. Put him into same category as naeun and UEE is insulting TBH
He has begun as an idol. Being an idol is not insulting, it just means that he auditionned in JYP, debuted in the Fanclub idol group that didn't have any success and then started as a solo artist. Some ex-idols are good actors and some are not, it's not about being an idol. The issue of being an idol is that some of them got big roles when they're not good or have no experience in acting.
You forget that most of idols can't act (like 90% of them), uee and naeun included, so put him with them is insulting, that's what I mean. And my point is still stand as he is more like solo artist not idol. Idol image and solo artist is different on many levels

I'm happy to see UEE looks so much better now. It was obvious she was starving herself a few years ago to the point it was uncomfortable to see her but she seems much healthier mentally and physically recently.
I believe Kim Bum will get a great lead soon. At least he is still working and active so I hope he is patient and picks the right role for him to lead.
