Cable network jTBC has been besieged by bad publicity for the past month but there are still more dramas in the pipeline that I’m ready to welcome if not just to stop pounding the same complaints into the ground. In February 2022 there will be female-centric drama Thirty Nine with Son Ye Jin, Jeon Mi Do, and Kim Ji Hyun playing best friends living their lives on the cusp of turning 40 years old. The first trio drama poster emphasized their close friendship with the three is side by side embrace and plenty of sunshine basking the ladies in warm happiness. The same vibe is evident in the newly released solo character posters made more unique in that each of the three female leads are pictured in the same pose. That’s quite a daring move and I love that all the ladies agreed to it and use it to showcase their own unique charm.

Waiting for this one. All 3 actresses seem good (I haven't seen the third one in anything yet). On a silly note, the yellow filter on the image (more saturation maybe) has turned the teeth yellow too lol that's a first in kdramaland where everyone has sparkly white teeth.

I love the posters for this drama so far. It makes the drama look warm and cheerful but I think its misleading because the plot descriptions I've read on Twitter suggest the friends read up parting ways, or possibly one of them being ill/dying. So I think these posters are trying to give an uplifting feel only for the drama to be darker than expected at the end. We will see! Can't wait to watch this!

I think this will be a bittersweet drama. It's almost guaranteed to make you cry. I am loving how it is really focusing on the female leads but I want to see the male leads too. Want to see son ye jin's chemistry with another lead after hyun bin.
Son Yejin has chemistry with every ML I've seen her with, whether drama or movie. So I think that aspect will be fine. But I'm curious how much the love lines are featured in this drama. Doesn't seem like they will be the focus.
The drama will focus mainly on the women's friendship so their male partners are secondary leads.
i think the focus of this drama will be about the friendship of the trio. honestly i'm sooo excited about this drama since we don't have to worry about the acting from the lead casts.
