I just realized two dramas are premiering in February that have just the age in the title, lol sorry for not making the connection earlier. jTBC‘s Thirty Nine deals with three ladies nearing their forties and the ancillary emotional and life issues, while tvN is bringing Twenty Five Twenty One with the two leads navigating the start of their adulthood. Nam Joo Hyuk and Kim Tae Ri first meet when they are twenty one and then there will be a time jump when they reconnect at twenty five is what the synopsis reads, and the drama starts in the late 90’s around the Asian financial crisis and then heads into the early aughts. I’m really looking forward to this drama as I find Kim Tae Ri a very savvy and picking project picker so this is only her second K-drama and Nam Joo Hyuk always surprises me with his improvement against stronger leading ladies plus he generally plays such easy to like characters onscreen. The posters have been cute and charming and the latest preview showcases Kim Tae Ri’s fencer character in all her competitive glory.

Yes! Premiere is almost here. Can't wait!
Hum... NJH's position on his poster doesn't look very natural for him.
I'm excited to watch Kim Tae-Ri in a new drama.
NJH should have chosen another kind of drama for his last project before enlisting. He already did a 'youth' drama just before this one. Maybe he chose it because of KTR.
I also have no problems with his performances. When he started he was watchable and now he's an OK actor for me. But that means he's improving and there's hope for some good performances in the future. I couldn't finish SU, the drama was too childish, and I though the best scenes were between him and the 2nd lead. My problem was with suzy, they had no chemistry and her acting has stayed in the watchable stage for too long. Well streets also saying that he's got better because his co-stars are well established actresses lately and his slump was SU in which his costar is below his acting talent.
In terms of KTR I don't know why she chose this, but is something different from her past projects, so, it's understandable. Plus, the fencing part is attractive!
