Teaser Preview for jTBC Drama Thirty Nine Showcases the Strong Friendship Between Son Ye Jin, Jeon Mi Do, and Kim Ji Hyun
It’s a new year and for these three bestie girlfriends it looks like they are on the hunt to live their best lives. The teaser is out for jTBC drama Thirty Nine with Son Ye Jin, Jeon Mi Do, and Kim Ji Hyun playing three friends on the cusp of turning forty years old and still single it appears. But not for long as each will be paired with a male lead in Yeon Woo Jin, Lee Moo Saeng, and Lee Tae Hwan respectively. The drama doesn’t seem to have an overarching story or mystery as much as watching these beautiful charming ladies interact onscreen in ordinary ways such as eating ice-cream, drinking, sleepovers, and challenging each other. How well it works will depend on the script as I see the three leading ladies bringing their full chemistry onscreen, and the screenwriter wrote Encounter (Boyfriend), Pretty Boy (Bel Ami), and Entertainer.

The teaser makes the drama look like a lot of fun! I'm also not expecting any major conflict but a heart warming and funny slice of life drama. I agree it heavily depends on the chemistry of the ladies and how they draw in the audience. Judging by the teaser I dont think that will be an issue.
It reminds me Be My Melo with the 3 girls living together. It looks fun and I'm excited to watch the pair Son Ye-Jin and Yeon Woo-Jin.

Writer of Encounter, Pretty Boy AND Entertainer? Sorry but are we sure this person can write? Those dramas were beyond horrible and boring. How did this person manage to cast both SHK and SYJ for back to back dramas? Who is her agent? This is crazy.
Look at her filmography. She has delivered many hits..Idk why shk accepted encounter but as for yejin i can see the reasons. She had always wanted to work in a female centric project. Plus it also includes her fav hobby a.k.a golfing and the writer having worked with her previously for the movie "Tower" ,sealed the deal.
As for the drama, based on the teasers it looks fun . Yejin and Yeon woo jin chemistry seems to be good as well. I couldn't be more glad the age gap isn't much. But the writer really needs to prove her this time
Entertainer was pretty good if you forget the love story. I still don't get why they chose the couple JiSung-Hyeri instead of Minhyuk-Hyeri...
This looks promising! I hope female-centric dramas focusing on friendship become more popular. Age of Youth 1 and Be Melo are such gems.
