I always feel like Kim Jae Wook and rom-coms are such a tenuous treat that I don’t want to get too excited and spook him from doing more in the future like a skittish colt lol. I feel like he does it perhaps for the paycheck and also because mmmmmmmm he’s so delicious it would be a shame not to create some romantic leading men during his prime. I adored Her Private Life and his Lion, the drama was a tad too lightweight but overall quite enjoyable. It’s been a few years since and next month in March 2022 he’s back in the romance saddle this time opposite Krystal for the KBS drama Crazy Love, which will also stream on Disney+. He’s a top executive who suddenly had a death pronouncement thrust on him and she’s his mousy secretary who steps up once she thinks she doesn’t have much time left in life, hence the crazy and love part of the title. The drama is from the PD of Awaken and Jugglers and will take over the Mon-Tues time slot after Moonshine ends.
Teaser for Crazy Love:
There are weird casting choices and this one is weird from both the leads itself…
Well this is an interesting pairing, setting aside the age difference at least I can…
I swear I just wrote about Song Joong Ki having his first baby and then…
At the end of the day, the core of any good drama remains the Story,…
If I didn't know this drama was a romance set in space and done K-drama…
If Wang Xing Yue ever needs extra money he can be a professional dubber for…

Krystal seems like the same character in everything I have seen her in.
Well first she was the doctor solider in the thriller drama. Then the taekwando police trainee.
LOL.
So how is this the same? A mousy secretary? All I can say is she doesn't seem to get roles where she is the helpless female. The secretary is going to change into a lion isn't she?
I don't even like her acting or what there is with her no-expression face. But she keeps getting roles. And her leading men are always so charming. Like seriously she gets all the charming men with killer smiles.
I'm not a big fan of Krystal, she's not bad but she's always the same...
I would like to see Kim Jae-Wook as a lead in a good drama. Her Private Life started well and then they focused on him and his story didn't make any sense... The Guest was really good.
I'm not sure I will watch this one.
Damn Kim Jae Wook is just eternally gorgeous, isn't he? ?
I like Krystal as an idol and in cold type of roles that don't require much emoting, but that's about it. Will still tune in for Jae Wook's prettiness and acting skills tho, and also because it's rare for him to do romance lol
I think Krystal is playing to her strengths as a limited actress by accepting characters that require her to act cold or fierce, those extremes. The worst-case scenario is if she does a melodrama again like My Lovely Girl. She really looked like a wet blanket there.
