I felt like the classic K-drama sagueks were long drawn out Shakespearean dynasty founding, era changing court battles There was some fighting but it was mostly talking and plotting. Then youth sageuks made it all seem like high school but in Joseon garb, with little of the gritty can die at any moment tension. But in the last decade the two have merged so there can be sweetness of young love but also the reality that shit in the olden days was dangerous, dirty, and even the rich and powerful can’t fight against disease and sickness. Upcoming KBS sageuk Red Single Heart just dropped the first poster and teaser and it really does remind in all the good ways of recently successful sageuk The Red Sleeve Cuff. The leads have chemistry and gravitas but it’s subsumed by the miasma of how treacherous their world is.
Teaser for Red Single Heart:
This year 2024 has been a slow year for K-actress Suzy in terms of her…
There are weird casting choices and this one is weird from both the leads itself…
Well this is an interesting pairing, setting aside the age difference at least I can…
I swear I just wrote about Song Joong Ki having his first baby and then…
At the end of the day, the core of any good drama remains the Story,…
If I didn't know this drama was a romance set in space and done K-drama…

Looks good and tragic.
Historical dramas are not my thing, but I'll watch this since I like the leads and looks really well produced. Btw they made Hanna look really small in the poster. Lee Joon is not that tall like 178cm at most and Hanna is approx 165cm
Hanna is 170 cm
I'm so excited for Kang Hanna. She is one of the most beautiful actresses imo and has talent to back it up. I like Lee Joon as well. Also glad to see more serious sageuks rather than those fusion, light ones we've been getting one after the other last year.
This is giving me Princess's Man vibe and I am here for it! Excited!
