There has been so much talk recently about how haphazard Disney+ has been with its promos of K-dramas and with the quality of its offerings but I’m good with fail and try try again mentality so up next for the Mouse is a different theme and age range. The K-drama Kiss Sixth Sense is scheduled for a May 25th release and will be rated 19+, quite a rarity for the streaming platform with more animated choices than live action. Starring Yoon Kye Sang and Seo Ji Hye, the drama is adapted from a smexy webtoon about a secretary that can see the future after a kiss and accidentally kisses her boss and sees their VERY SEXY future in her mind. *fans myself* With these two chemistry magnets as the leads I’m hopeful that even if the plot is wafer thin the action will be worth it.
This year 2024 has been a slow year for K-actress Suzy in terms of her…
There are weird casting choices and this one is weird from both the leads itself…
Well this is an interesting pairing, setting aside the age difference at least I can…
I swear I just wrote about Song Joong Ki having his first baby and then…
At the end of the day, the core of any good drama remains the Story,…
If I didn't know this drama was a romance set in space and done K-drama…

Koala, if you don't live in US you should already know that Disney is pretty mature here, with Star+ and all. Well, unless you live in the US, where Disney is forever child Disneyland.
I feel like Seo Ji Hye’s career hasn’t taken off the way you would’ve expected it too after the mega popularity of CLOY. Her dramas after CLOY have been pretty meh.
Its because her acting is pretty meh. Limited expressions. Limited charisma. Shes a very boring actress to me.
I've been reading the webtoon and its not 19+ material at all ? Mature, sure, but no explicit scenes or overtly sexy overtones. Also, I am very concerned about how old these two are - the webtoon characters are in their late 20s so having such a mature irl cast is a bit......mmh. I also do not know what the heck the drama is even gonna be about since the webtoon itself is very slow in its storytelling and I truly cannot see them making an entire fleshed out drama from the og content ? We'll see what happens, I guess.
I have the same concerns. They're a lot older than the webtoon leads, look nothing like them, and the vibes from these actors are totally different. Nothing against the actors, I mean they can act, it's just an odd casting choice IMO.
And yes, there's really not much story to go on based on the webtoon atp, so I'm anticipating a lot of fillers, which is just...
yeah I've been reading the webtoon and was surprised at the production choosing to cast much older. The promo pics have a totally different vibe too. The webtoon is like 95% rom-com with 5% dark subplot and just lots of wacky expressions. I wonder if this will be a much looser adaptation of the webtoon and if the dark subplot will get a bigger share than in the webtoon?
My imagined casting when I first read it was Chae Soo-bin and maybe Kim Min-jae.
What's up with casting a totally different vibe actor for webtoon adaptation, first business proposal and now this.
Well APB paid off big time. In korea AHS is now hailed the most bankable actor in his 20s with his last 3 dramas going on double digits. Not to mention his endorsements and SNS numbers going up up up.
I think some vibes are better in webtoon format than an drama adaptation and what the writers chose to change for ABP worked really well. Rather than a translation of medium, they really adapted it.
I wonder what changes they are going to make to this webtoon for the screen adaptation!
My hub and I love Love and Leashes in Netflix. This premise may work well as a standalone movie but not sure how it will pan out in 12-16 episodes. We don't read webtoons so all the best to this one.
Finally its here on 25 May.
Waiting for these two good actors' chemistry.
I like both YKS and SJH.
Glad that older better actors are being casted for once.
