To no one’s surprise, K-actress Kim Da Mi who debuted in a huge way in movies will be looking at the broader entertainment landscape when she picks her next agency. K-ent is reporting that she’s in talks to sign with UAA (United Artists Agency) after her current contract with ANDMARQ expires. She along with Kim Tae Ri has had one of the fastest rookie to success trajectories from Chungmuro and for her it was The Witch: Part 1 -The Subversion which I finally watched in full last week on a transpacific flight and OMG was it amazing and she was absolutely on fire in acting and onscreen charm. If she signs with UAA she will join Song Hye Kyo and Yoo Ah In for moving to a global agency rather than a top domestic one and the sky’s the limit these days for talented K-stars for sure.
There are weird casting choices and this one is weird from both the leads itself…
Well this is an interesting pairing, setting aside the age difference at least I can…
I swear I just wrote about Song Joong Ki having his first baby and then…
At the end of the day, the core of any good drama remains the Story,…
If I didn't know this drama was a romance set in space and done K-drama…
If Wang Xing Yue ever needs extra money he can be a professional dubber for…

Top US agency UAA?
Top US agency UAA? Since when? Maybe koala is confusing it with CAA?
Not sure UAA is global agency though. It's pretty
much a boutique agency even in K-ent standards though it has huge name stars. It was under the same management group as So Ji Sub's and Son Yejin's agencies a few years back.
Can I ask what you mean by “boutique agency”? Thanks
A small-ish agency in terms of the number of talents they rep compared with others like Soop, Namoo, BH, Keyeast among others.
Got it, thank you!
Top US agencies are UTA (united Talent Agency) who reps Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, Harrison Ford, Susan Sarandon, Johnny Depp etc and CAA (Crative Artist Agency) reps Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, Jen Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Zendaya etc.
But UAA (United Artist Agency) is a Korean based agency not a US global one? Did koala mixed up the the two US ones? Pls correct me if I'm wrong.
Koala must have confused UTA with UUA. She blogged on KP Aug 14 2013 that Ha Ji Won signed with top US agency UTA to launch her international career.
Unless her English is great I don't see Kim Da Mi in good Hollywood roles. Very few Asian actresses made it. Liu Yifei, Gong Li, Zhang Ziyi all tried the crossover.
Apart from Bae Doona, Michelle Yeoh is more successful. Bond girl, The Lady, Memoirs of A Geisha, Last Christmas, tv series Star trek and The Witcher.
Verified with Soompi article. Never once did Soompi mention it as global agency. Rather KDI is label mates with SHK and YAI.
All the comments are calling out her incorrect post (yet again). But koala won't bother to correct it. SMH.
