Jung So Min Gets More Curious About Minhyun with Their Childhood Connection as Background in New Stills for Episode 3 of Alchemy of Souls

I may be jinxing it by starting to cover tvN drama Alchemy of Souls more but it’s that rare beast which absolutely fascinates me on multiple levels and the only drama currently airing that I’m emotionally resonating with. The new stills are out for tomorrow’s episode 3 showing Jung So Min’s Mu Duk checking out Minhyun’s second male lead Seo Yul. That they have the childhood meet cute and backstory rather than the OTP is a great way to twist things up, but the Hong Sisters have done it before but each time it delivers. Here it’s hard to imagine cold and efficient Naksu (whose soul is in Mu Duk’s body) was once a girl who dreams with her own childhood boy-next-door cutie who sits on a tree with her enjoying the scenery. They probably were sent to train with the same master at some point to explain how teen Naksu and Yul spent time together, but then life sent him to become an heir to his family and her to become an assassin. I hope he finds out soon who she is and then we can have a proper male leads showdown for her heart. There is also new stills with the OTP hugging but she’s clearly just using him at this point so my heart doesn’t pitter patter yet, but she’s in for a wild ride haha.
