First Character Posters and Teaser for tvN Drama Joseon Psychiatrist Yoon Se Poong with Kim Min Jae and Kim Hyang Gi

The first promos are out for mid-summer tvN Mon-Tues drama Joseon Psychiatrist Yoon Se Poong, which will take over the time slot from Link: Eat, Love, Kill on August 1st. Starring Kim Min Jae, Kim Hyang Gi, and Kim Sang Kyung in a story that centers about mental illness in the Joseon era and the doctors trying to treat the patients. The drama looks like it wants to take a sincere and delicate approach to the issue of mental illness, and the few modern K-dramas which have tackled this topic has been some of my faves including It’s Okay, It’s Love and It’s Okay to Not be Okay, but this may be the first to address this topic in a period setting. It’s a talented and fresh cast gathered and I’m interested to see what stories the drama has in store.
