Youn Yuh Jung Declines K-drama Curtain Call and Veteran Goo Doo Shim Takes Over the Matriarch role

So now the main cast of upcoming big budget high profile K-drama Curtain Call (former Tree Dies on Their Feet) is complete. Award winning veteran Youn Yuh Jung was originally tapped to play the matriarch grandmother role and she was one of the first names attached to this drama. But the recent casting confirmations did not mention her and now it’s clear she was not doing it after all. Instead fellow veteran Goo Doo Shim will be stepping into that role and I’m super good with this swap and just want to watch this drama sooner rather than later. The leads are Ha Ji Won, Kang Ha Neul, and Kwon Sang Woo, with supporting roles including Sung Dong Il, Jung Ji So, Ji Seung Hyun, and Seohyun.
