tvN Mon-Tues Drama Link: Eat, Love, Kill with Yeo Jin Gu and Moon Ga Young Concludes Underwhelming Ratings Run But Appears to Have a Small Ardent Following

This Tuesday saw the conclusion of Link: Eat, Love, Kill with Yeo Jin Gu and Moon Ga Young in what is best described as an underwhelming run. Ratings started at 3.124% and then went downhill from there with a series low at one point of 1.423% and overall averaging 2.108%. The drama however appears to have a noted ardent following of viewers albeit not a large group, and it’s a drama that probably appeals to those who like a complicated multi-genre yarn weaved together competently. I’m just curious if this drama is worth marathoning now that it’s done, I super regret missing Find Me in Your Memory when it aired two years ago and catching up earlier so I would love feedback now on this drama.

  • Honestly, the murder plot ruins it.
The child story also kinda ruins it.

The difference with this and find me in your memory is that we don't have the childhood binding trauma in find me in your memory, they have link but it doesn't define them while in Link, it feels the link is all over the place and at the end you want all of the character, including all the supporting characters just move out from the neighborhood, the lead better break up and they all need to start a new life.

    • @kiwi
      Agree with you.
It was kind of refreshing earlier but gets depressing halfway through….

  • I only watched until ep 4 or 5. I stopped because the preview for the next episode is not interesting enough and there is too much of everything. I mean we have the missing sister, killer, link, resurrected stalker+cousin, suspicious neighbors, policeman with anger issues etc.
I watched the first eps because it was funny how the male lead would cry out of the blue because of their link. They look soo cute together.
Maybe I'll watch just the final episode to see them together.

  • There were many things happening in this drama, but I did like it quite a lot.
The execution was not perfect, but I liked the mix of genres, the wide variety of characters, and various plot points. Also had some good subtle subtext about crime/police etc. themes.

Plus, I really liked the main leads, their chemistry, acting & romance.

I get that it would not be everyone's cup of tea though. But it was mine for sure. xD

  • Watched it fully and tbh it was so good! I personally felt the plot was very nice, the story development was excellent and the characters were relatable. The story actually answered all your curiosity. But as said earlier, it's not the typical "cliche" kdrama. The story takes time to understand. Tbh the best thing about this drama was that everyone has their own mystery but you really don't know what they have done.

  • I wonder if it's better as a marathon than waiting for episodes. I found myself forgeting about this drama immediately after I watch it, it didn't linger. I kept waiting for the food and cooking but that didn't happen either. It was not a bad drama but I felt there was something missing, like a quirky character that you can't wait to watch. It reminded me of Psychopath Diary (which I enjoyed) but the latter was well executed. The actor who plays WonTak has a nice voice, so I enjoyed that and I like YJG.

  • Tbh i really loved this drama from the start the plot twists were just so interesting i know some people don't like this drama or it's not their type but i loved this drama a lot... Its has suspense, romance, thriller, etc it's filled with overwhelming twists and their che!istry is just awesome.I loved how the story got so many plot twists the way they could feel each other's emotions etc. This kdrama was always on the peak of my head whenever i saw previews of any episodes i would be like "woah what will happen next" well overall this kdrama was AWESOME i loved this drama a lot. Some people may not like this drama but it was totally my type.

  • I really like the drama..but I understand it’s not everyones cup of tea..I agree that’s it’s a little bit of everything, from murder, women abuse, stalking, mystery, comedy (albeit a really dark comedy), people behaving badly and side stories but I like it. Not your typical eye candy k-drama and it tackles issues that is not tackled in other dramas (eg abuse, dark side of human nature and people’s selfishness or a person way of just not caring). I also love the chemistry between the main characters and the healthy way they talk to each other. The side characters are sometimes frustrating but I do understand their characters and motivations and I like that everyone are humans and hd made bad decisions in life.

  • I liked this drama because of moon ga young. About the the drama,, its not like the other drama that full of action,,not yet simple but this drama was liked the true happenings in our lives that we can relate as much.
