Oh I like this male lead pick! A day after news that Kim So Hyun was taking on modern romance K-drama Is It Coincidence the male lead has been announced as likely Chae Jong Hyeob. He was the best thing in the messiest of hot mess dramas that was Sisyphus: The Myth but hasn’t since delivered on that potential in terms of hits. The closest was being the nice second male lead in Nevertheless which doesn’t help that the female lead is as toxic as the male lead and they feed off each other’s dysfunction. This will be a great role for him to be Kim So Hyun’s male lead in Is It Coincidence and the closer in age casting as well as his baby face helps sell the “first loves reunite for a second chance” story here.

Judging from the solid 1% ratings, I doubt Koreans saw that drama.
Doesn't mean the drama and him weren't good. He's a natural actor and more talented than most rookies these days.
Korean viewership have been dwindling these past few years, some drama that don't have big names usually will aired unnoticed by k-viewers. Unless they have some solid storyline or casting. But sadly LAP don't have that gripping storyline, but they do have some avid watchers on twt. It's just sport romance with some intermingle angst. But with all kdramas that came out this year, LAP is among those that I watched in full without dropping or fast forward 😂 it's not excellent, but it's an easy watch for me👍🏻
I just want all the confirmations to come through so I can move on to fully enjoying their chemistry. He’s a good actor even though relatively new and was a standout even in Hot Stove League. I don’t have huge expectations for this drama but it’s giving me One Beloved Summer vibes with the cozy second chance romance so I’m looking forward to all the cute minus any pointless angst since this is just 8 episodes. They’ll make a great visual and acting pair so bring it on quickly. I hope they start filming super soon.

He was good in Love All Play, it's sad the writting of the characters was disapointing. But in the couple scenes, both actors did well.
I'm satisfied if this casting goes through. CJH has immense charm and the cutest smiles. He's a real puppy and fits the character well and I can already see the visual chemistry will be great. Since this is a simple romcom his acting chops will be sufficient to compliment KSH and she won't have to hard carry the whole thing. I'm getting the same feel good vibe as TTON which is my fav drama of hers.

CJH + KSH is a dream pair but why are the confirmations taking forever? The drama is to start filming this month or next month but except for KSH nobody is confirmed. They even started following each other on socmed what is delaying the announcement? We need to see them together immediately.
