Everyone says holiday creep happens earlier and earlier this year and now it’s the Best and Worst of Lists that seem to start way before the year has even wrapped. Joynews published a poll of critics today of the Worst K-dramas of 2022 and plenty of stinkers made the list so let’s check it out now and be thankful for missing that train. Top of the list is Eve with 46 votes, followed by the Korean remake Money Heist: Korea with 36 votes, and coming in third was season 3 of Marriage Lyrics and Divorce Music with 23 votes. The fourth place was Today’s Webtoon at 10 votes that those four dramas are the only ones to get double digits. It’s Beautiful Now and Big Mouth each for 8 votes, and I’m guessing the latter for the bummer of an ending. Three dramas are tied for 6th at 6 votes apiece and that’s Why Her, Grid, and Alchemy of Souls which I hope to scrub from my mind forever. And last but not least, these dramas all got a vote or two namely Crazy Love, The Jinx’s Lover, Forecasting Love and Weather, Snowdrop, Black Bride, Sh**ting Stars, Tomorrrow, and Doctor Lawyer. My hit rate is below .500 for all these dramas and for that I give a sigh of relief.
This year 2024 has been a slow year for K-actress Suzy in terms of her…
There are weird casting choices and this one is weird from both the leads itself…
Well this is an interesting pairing, setting aside the age difference at least I can…
I swear I just wrote about Song Joong Ki having his first baby and then…
At the end of the day, the core of any good drama remains the Story,…
If I didn't know this drama was a romance set in space and done K-drama…

I didn't watch everything from the list, I dropped some. But I'm not sure to understand how they voted... Today's Webtoon wasn't the best drama but it wasn't bad. How they got 10 votes when Jinx had no problem to make poor women hostages and fell in love with her abuser?
From the list, I liked Tomorrow, it's the drama that made me cry the most from a long time ago. KSH was really great a Grimp Reaper and she slayed her haircut.
I'm not a fan of Alchemy of Souls but the worse? I think it's exaggerated.
Shooting Star was far from perfect, but it was a fun ride.
Isn't the main point of Jinx is to escape the confinement?
She falls in love with the nicest person in the show and she forced him to accept her. The male lead didn't abuse nor using her love for his advantage, he helps her escape and paid a hefty price.
Even her mother story is about accepting that love, comfort and abuse can happen at the same time.
I was talking about the mother's story and not it was normal and shouldn't be told as such. The guy drugged her daughter during years... He abused her and her daughter. Everything was wrong.
For the main story, she was a child and the love story didn't work.
@sayaris
Your comment about the show is wrong then cause Jinx definitely makes a problem about the mother love story and the confinement.
That's the basis of the story, how to realised that even if you had loved the person and they provided for you, sealing you from the world is never justified. That's how the daughter want to escape and why the mother helps her.
I don't actually like the show but I think your comments misinterpreted what the show is about. It always painted the dad and the grandfather as a bad human being because how they treat the mother character. It was shown as wrong and the problem. Seems like you didn't even finished the show.
Of all these, I watched Alchemy of Souls and Money Heist. Abide all the stuff that could have be easily fixed, AOS was quite refreshing and it has a unique fantasy element. Also the change of female lead was quite brave and I like it because it make sense in the content of the story.
Money Heist was entertaining beside some frustrating parts and it did make me want to check out the original.
These 2 dramas on an entertaining level, I would rewatch again.
While I loved the premise of "Alchemy of Souls" and enjoyed it, for a drama which was supposedly about the "strong" female lead, Naksu, it centered on the growth of the male lead, Jang Wook, into a hero. In retrospective, it made sense why the production was originally willing to cast a new actress as Mudeok because her role was to guide Wook to his fate while her own goals were pushed to the background. We still have season 2, but Naksu's journey wasn't as consistent as Wook's in season 1.
In the other side, the list of the best ones is shorter . In my opinion, My liberation notes, Trough the darkness , Extraordinary attorney Woo . For the ones who want to watch good ones with some flaws : Military prosecutor doberman, Blind,a business proposal, The good detectve, Yumi's cells 2, and i can't say for Golden Spoon as i'll wait the end . Today's webtoon wasn't that bad .It was only different from what viewers wanted to see .
I didn't watch a lot of the ones mentioned above thankfully, but Today's Webtoon, Jinx's Lover and If You Wish Upon Me definitely rank among the worst this year (the last probably didn't get votes because people didn't watch it). the actors tried their best but the writers were just clueless.
I liked Forecasting and Sh**ting Stars. Weren't the best thing ever but I overall enjoyed them.
Gaus Electronics was good. Best fun drama I've watched in awhile..
