The collateral damage of the Wu Yi Fan (Kris Wu) criminal allegations and scandal last year was that the highly anticipated C-drama adaptation of The Golden Hairpin was likely never to see the light of day despite being fully filmed. But then came the news that K-drama was adapting it either in full or inspired by with the upcoming tvN drama Our Blooming Youth (Korean title Youth, Climb the Barrier) and despite the wholly anachronistic title which sounds like a modern youth school drama it’s going to be Joseon era and has mystery and romance. The first teaser poster is out with male lead Park Hyung Sik and also script reading stills with the full cast including leading lady Jeon So Nee and second leads Yoon Jong Seok and Pyo Ye Jin. I’m super excited for this drama and to really understand the central story which has tons of fans of the original source novel.

Not sure what to expect from this. The title and summary are kind of vague. I'm looking forward to the first teaser
I know it'll cost more to edit out Kris Wu and change to another actor but i really want to watch it. But since i prefer another actress, hopefully a brand new Chinese Golden Hairpin with new cast lol.
Can't wait for the Korean's version. Please please be good. I really like the novel.
I still bummed that only the first novel in the series got an English translation.
Anything with Park Hyungsik is surely to be good with a fun mischievous twist. Gotta love it!!!
