Netflix Revenge Drama The Glory Gets Rave Reviews for the Impeccable Casting of the High School Era Actors/Actresses in Visual Similarity and Performance

You know something is well made when there are multiple areas to compliment, and for Netflix K-drama The Glory it’s been a nonstop discussion of the various aspects of the drama that are excellently done. One highlight is the seamless transition from the teenage high school cast to the adult cast through the drama flashbacks. each of the six younger leads are being praised as perfectly cast to match the six adult leads, and vice-versa. No one has ever thought Jung Ji So looked like Song Hye Kyo but in this drama they are eerily similar in looks and aura. Same with Shin Ye Eun to Lim Ji Yeon, the evil cruelty seeps through both coupled with brazen power tripping. This goes to show the care that went into the casting to create such a well meshed generational cast.

I loved the cast and story. I'm looking forward to season 2
I love d drama the script is great with unpredictable twists of the story. Great drama to watch i was able to watch the 8 episodes in one sitting.
Lol to me none of them look so similar. The acting has been pretty great though
This drama is more a win for KES than the actors because it proves she can still write a good strong script. It actually reminded me a lot of Anna for some reason with both SHK and Suzy nailing their dead on the inside characters. I’m impressed by how much I hated both LJY and SYE who portrayed her younger version. The husband is definitely the breakout star and his chemistry with SHK was sizzling. I admit LDH while still an excellent actor is getting typecast in his roles and needs to stop acting with older actresses. He’s better suited for actresses like GMS or KSH who are around his age and can carry both heavy and light dramas. I also liked him with IU but preferably in a romcom. Waiting to see how part 2 plays and hoped KES doesn’t drop the ball in the second half on the writing because the plot is most critical in dramas like this and the payoff needs to be good. This series gave off strong PCW vibes which is a huge compliment for KES.

Song hye kyo casting isn't close to her younger counterparts both in term of resemblance and acting.
Lim Ji Yeon face has changed a lil
It's a decent watch but the villains feel very one note villainous. It would have been interesting if at least one of them had changed since high school, or at least they were shown to have more to them than being horrible. I liked the young actors but not so much all the adults. Tho it could be their one note characters.
