I am a huge fan of K-drama writer Park Hye Ryun so news about her next drama is beyond exciting. To hear that its courting Park Eun Bin as the female lead is icing on the cake. The drama is titled Desert Island Diva (Deserted Island Diva) and now the full synopsis is out and I slurped up every word. The drama centers around the female lead who is a young country girl who grew up on a remote island. She dreams of a K-pop career despite having an abusive father and when she turns 16 she gets on a boat for the mainland to attend a K-pop audition. A storm blows her ship into a desert island and she spends another 15 years there all alone surviving on her own skills and she would sing the songs of her favorite singer to give herself strength. Once she is discovered and returns to civilization, she meets her favorite singer who is now a 40-something has-been layabout who is reinvigorated meeting this woman who has idolized her. So the drama is really the human growth and achieving dreams story of two women from vastly different backgrounds who find strength in each other. This sounds sooooooo amazing I canβt wait!

15 years ago 2008 folks not 80s, my god I'm old. So either use SNSD ITNW (it's very inspiring) or I don't know use real life BoA to act ππ..
Honestly, it doesn't seem like an interesting script for her, given the incredible talent she has, she should take another, more challenging role. She is a really wonderful actress, each character makes unique.
What the, this plot sounds ridiculously far-fetched but I like that there will be 2 female leads! I wonder if they will cast an actual singer.
