Jang Geun Seok Takes on Menacing Conman and Killer Heo Sung Tae In First Poster and Preview for Coupang Play Drama Bait
Streaming platform Coupang Play continues to slowly build its own stable of exclusive K-dramas and coming the end of January will be cat-and-mouse thriller Bait (formerly called Chronicles of Crime) starring Jang Geun Seok, Heo Sung Tae, and Lee Elijah. It’s Jang Geun Seok’s first drama in five years since 2018 drama Switch: Change the World after which he went to military service and came back out in 2020. Bait looks tense mostly due to the ever menacing onscreen presence of Heo Sung Tae who has made quite a name and recognition for himself as the villainous antagonist in many a drama and movie in the last two years. Jang Geun Seok looks a tad unintentionally hilarious with all the scruffy facial hair as a detective but he remains a strong draw for me to want to check out this drama.
