C-ent New Rumored Leads for Period Romance Drama Pearl Curtain Jade Partition is Zhao Lu Si with Deng Wei
It’s actually normal for buzzy C-stars to be signed up to new dramas while filming current ones and maybe even more than one lined up. Strike while the iron is hot is super important and last year in 2022 was a MAJOR leveling up for C-actress Zhao Lu Si with back-to-back hit dramas Who Rules the World with Yang Yang and then Love Like the Galaxy with Wu Lei. She’s fi;ming the xianxia drama The Last Immortal with Wang An Yu for the last few months and now the C-ent casting rumor has her signing onto the period romance drama with the literal title Pearl Curtain Jade Partition (珠帘玉幕) with rising actor Deng Wei who has Lost You Forever coming up himself in the trio of male leads with Yang Zi. Looks like Zhao Lu Si has gotten top billing now and her future male leads are where she was a few years ago in casting level.

Zhao Lusi is staying in her confort zone. she is the 95 version of Yang Zi. Until further notice she will take few chances. The type of roles she is doing don't require big actors, so decent actors, up and coming ones will do. But she is capable of more and she knows it. she doesn't feel she has to prove anything.
I want Lusi to look at good scripts and good directors and not just something that has a S+ label stamped on it as bait to reel her in.
She is a mediocre actress and that is all she will stay to be.
