Since I didn’t finish Taxi Driver (Model Taxi) despite liking the first few episodes (just lost track of it), the second season which premiered this past February was not a series I tracked. But for SBS, the decision to greenlight Taxi Driver 2 has paid off as the ratings for this season has surpassed the original with an episode high of 18.3% and could break 20% this weekend with the final two episodes. Kudos to the cast and crew for putting out a drama that organically brings in viewers and grows it. I get happy anytime a prime time Big Three Network drama breaks 20% these days since its so rare and gives me hope there could be a resurgence one day in terrestrial productions in quality to rival the heyday.

Taxi Driver always popped up on the top list of most viewed K dramas on the streaming site where I watch Kdrama. I may give it a try even though the genre isn't my favorite. Thanks for sharing the information.
Lee Je Hoon's performance is flawless but the story in season 2 is so OTT and ridiculous and missing the friendly prosecution makes it contrary to the ending in s1 and still very vigilante.
I don't think the second is as good as the first one. It's nice to see the team back but the stories are lacking.
I hope there will be season 3 and soon!
In the 1st season , the plot and the various cases were more intense, darker than the 2nd one which is more lighter as the stories are treated in a more manichaean way .the baddies get a taste of their own medecine and the viewers get to see what they would like to have in reality .It may explain the great ratings . In addition , the Avengers team ( adorable actors )have more screen time and great chemistry. This year the dramas are disappointing ( Divorce attorney Shin,Kokdu, Our blooming youth, The secret romantic guesthouse,..The heavenly idol,...) and this one is fun to watch .
I have watched an insane number of Kdramas including vigilante dramas like Taxi Driver. Sometimes they get boring and lose me. But there is something special about the Taxi Driver series. I think it is the actors and characters. They are unrealistically awesome, but it is okay because the warmth and fun and charm all make up for it. This series is great and I could watch it go on forever.
Love the cast of taxi driver especially Lee Je Hoon. Hope there ia season 3.
