There feels like a lull with K-dramas right now, really after The Glory part 2 dropped at the beginning of March it’s been relatively low buzz and energy. But there are lots of highly anticipated to potential underdog hits in the pipelines and many are produced by powerhouse Studio Dragon. My appetite is whetted just seeing one still from these dramas as thinking the casting is great gets validated when the first visual also exceeds expectation. The dramas on deck include Gyeongsang Creature with Park Seo Joon and Han So Hee, See You in My 19th Life with Ahn Bo Hyun and Shin Hye Sun, Lies Hidden in My Garden with Kim Tae Hee and Lim Ji Yeon, Shadow Detective 2 with Lee Sung Min, and the return of the full cast for The Uncanny Counter 2.

Ever since Crash Course and Glory ended its been painfully boring but things should pick up from June onward. See You In My 19th Life, King The Land and The Devil will finally revive the weekend drama competition. Delightfully Deceitful is also out at the end of next month so basically a June drama and then there's Lies Hidden in My Garden on ENA which is looking amazing. TVN just cancelled their mid-week slot so we only have JTBC to look forward to in that slot and they don't always program dramas consistently. Summer is packed with amazing dramas so we just need to endure for one more month and this lull will finally end. At least there's Black Knight to look forward to next month.
Additionally July-Aug is peak season for C-dramas and this year expected releases are looking amazing. Lost You Forever, Fox Spirit Matchmaker, Sword and Fairy, The Last Immortal and more.
