I’m super excited for this K-drama and ready for all the old school feels with two leads I like. Junho and Yoona will be back on the small screen in June for the jTBC Fri-Sat romance King the Land, which I hope gets a better English title lol. He’s the successful chaebol heir to a hotel empire and she’s the hardworking optimistic employee at the hotel and of course they are just meant for each other. There are new stills out recently and visually these two look fantastic onscreen though a smidge bro/sis vibe too heh. I want all the emotionally repressed chaebol with plucky heroine opening his shell antics bring it on!

I'm with you Koala, the cold-on-the-outside but secretly soft-hearted chaebol and the happy, optimistic heroine trope is one of my guilty pleasures lol so I'll definitely check this out
I am not too fond of her acting but I love him and I am also really excited about this one. I need something like this to sooth me as IRL is sucky.
Junho surprised me. He was my 2PM bias. He's the best dancer in the group, good looking, and he could compose/write songs that I admire most. I used to be mesmerized by his charm during the 2PM era. But I never thought he could act. Yes he got some acting projects here and there back then but it did not impress me. I'm curious what has made him have such a quantum leap in the Red Sleeve? Did he even won Baeksang best actor?
I certainly will watch his dramas.
I discovered him in The Red Sleeve but he was already a certified actor since his debut in Cold Eyes in 2013. He had less than 10 minutes screen time in the movie but dang his presence lingered as if he appeared in the entire movie.
His masterpieces to date were Choi Dohyun in Confession and of course Lee San(Yi San), King Jeongjo in The Red Sleeve.
King The Land would be his first full rom-com drama so I’m so excited how is he going to approach his character in this drama.
Yes, I discovered he’s is such an amazing singer too. His vocal range is amazing. The diversity of his voice is mind blowing. He’s like a vocal factory. His voice is very smooth and clean, the voice that you would like to listen Acapella.
In short, I am really in awe how a truly talented artist he is. Where else can you find someone like him?
Junho and Yoona have known each other since the era of the 2nd generation Kpop, dated back at least 10 years ago. They had several occasions on stage together. The most recent one was their dance collab, Senorita one year ago. I watched both of their dance practice and formal performance. They looked so comfortable with each other. The on-stage chemistry was sizzling hot. Many fans even wonder if the director of King the Land cast them together after watching their Senorita performance. LOL
Wow Lee Junho, my kind of Best Actor. I am really looking for an authentic romance comedy drama for a long time. I hope King The Land is the answer. Super excited for this.
