Last year 2022 was an extraordinarily good year for K-dramas but so far in 2023 we haven’t had a big yet hit, The Glory doesn’t count since it technically is considered a 2022 drama premiering at the end of December. SBS had a solid hit with Taxi Driver 2 and may even improve on that with the follow up drama in the Fri-Sat time slot Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim 3 starting off with 12.7% ratings. Breaking double digits is fantastic these days and this drama both season 1 in 2017 and season 2 in 2020 ended with over 27% ratings so let’s see if this third go-around will have the same magic with viewers.
There are weird casting choices and this one is weird from both the leads itself…

The 1st episode was good . Happy to see all the staff .
I think the fact that Dr. Cha is also doing double-digits on the same time slot on Saturdays (Teacher Kim airs 9:50-11:10, Dr. Cha at 10:30-11:50) would make it hard for Teacher Kim to reach its precious heights. Not impossible for the finale week (when King the Land takes over Dr. Cha), just quite difficult.
Yeah, I think It won't reach the previous height. Unfortunately, I feel like the addiction factor is not as high as previous season. Might be I've seen enough of them, like they basically use the same trict and plot in the previous season, like get rid of Kim Sabu eventhough with diferent villain. It's just already getting old. I wish they introduce different conflict.
I think the conflict between otp and EunJae's parent will be make it abit more refreshing than previous season, or the 2 newcomer who will add new story.
