C-actress Gulinazha Does NOT Apologize After Criticism of Her Outfit at Universal Studios China and Encourages People to Wear What They Like

Consider me surprised for once that there is netizen criticism that a C-star doesn’t immediate apologize for just to placate. C-actress Gulinazha was at Universal Studios theme park in China this weekend and posted on her SNS and immediately got criticism for her outfit, more specifically her jeans. She was wearing a couture Alexander Wang designed boyfriend cut low rise jeans with a built in black thong peeking out. C-netizens criticized her for wearing a revealing and sexually provocative for this place because it was a public place with a lot of children visiting. Nazha clapped back that there was nothing wrong with her outfit, she encouraged people to not be afraid and wear what they want, and said that it was May 1st holiday and people should wear what makes them people pretty and go celebrate.” Good for her, while I find those jeans pretty fugly since I’ve never thought a low rider or thong showing look was “pretty” IMO there is nothing inherently inappropriate for wearing to a theme park in this day and age.

  • I think the jeans are from Alexander Wang, not McQueen's. While I agree she should be allowed to wear whatever she wants, I did not like this outfit.

    • You can wear whatever you like, people can comment however they like. I for one find her outfit not only inappropriate but a cry for attention that she doesn't need. Not even classy, just ugly. And it makes her look ugly. I suppose chinese govt with enough of criticisms will then regulate what people can wear at family public places which is of course silly and unnecessary. She could have gone classy but she chose look at me sort of fashion. Which makes me conclude she wanted that attention.

  • I think she needs attention & it's her way of getting it. It looks so tacky. For some reason I can never watch any of her dramas. I started one episode and always unable to finish it.

  • I agree with her. She's quite brave to clap back at infamous Chinese netizens. In this day and age, most people could careless what you wear. Heck, I've seen influencers from China wearing skirts up so high in public, bending would have exposed everything.

  • But not gonna lie had I bring my children to Disneyland and see someone wearing this in my child presence I would felt a bit uncomfortable too 😅 because it does look a tad bit sexy to me. But yeah to each their own.

    • Yup, agree with c netz on this one. There's no need to apologize but not the most appropriate place to wear it i guess. But then I don't know what everyone is wearing to theme parks these days. However generally there should be some consideration for places with kids.

  • C neitizen seems even ruthless and nitpicky than k neitizen. I have read one article bodyshaming an actress when she was not even fat.

  • It's how I feel about some men wearing their jeans so low their boxers stick out. It's tacky, shows lack of concern for how they look and just plain fugly. If this was the actual design of the jeans (with thong included), then she's just wearing the design. If she decided that's how she wanted to wear the jeans, then it's just weird to me. Is she going on a date? What's the point of showing her panties to the world to a theme park. She has a right to do what she wants, but then, don't complain about how people think.

  • Koala, if you can write Dilraba then you can write Gulnezer, don't you know her name? Maybe research more.

For her clothes, it just means she has tacky taste. No parents want any of their children dress with underwear hanging out. It's crass, vulgar, and not elegant at all. So I understand the worry parents have that their children will think that's cool. She can use the same low rise for jeans which will expose her stomach more but no one will criticize it. But I agree she should not apologize for her taste, the least she can do though is to acknowledge parents worries and say that it IS inappropriate for kids and they should not follow her style. And Koala your banana is showing, there are other parts in the world that think showing underwear to kids is inappropriate, no matter how acceptable that is in the west.

    • But her name really is Gulinazha though. If you want to write it in pinyin there are few others to spell, like Gulinezha(acc. to the Chinese pronunciation of nezha) Gulnazar also can be. Just like Dilraba is correct Dilireba is also correct. Their original name are spelled using Arabic alphabet since they are both Xinjiang native, that's why spelling their name in roman alphabet can be few different ways, depends on how you pronounce it. But chinese spelling will be the same just traditional or simplified.
