An underdog has just come out of nowhere and became the next big K-drama hit and I’m just noticing this phenom lol. jTBC weekend drama Doctor Cha premiered three weeks ago and has only rocketed up in ratings. Episode 1 debuted with 4.937% and episode 2 jumped to 7.780%. Since then it keeps going up and the most recent episode 6 airing last Sunday got 13.203%. Uhm Jung Hwa stars a doctor who didn’t practice and became a stay at home mom raising kids with her doctor husband Kim Byung Chul and after the kids are grown decides to go back and become a practicing doctor. Good for her! This story sounds so aspirational for women who have left the work force and also another story that continues the recent trend of strong female characters for a veteran top actress.

"Déjà vu " but enjoyable . Kim Byung Chul is perfect as the jerk who wants to have it all, a perfect housewife, perfect kids , a mistress, and be admired by his pairs . Seeing his perfect world falling apart because his wife got a wake up call is hilarious !
