Park Seo Joon and IU Attend Fan Thanks Meeting for Sports Feel Good Movie Dream Breaking 1 Million Ticket Sales

While K-ent is calling out sports movie Dream for NOT being a major breakout hit needed to reinvigorate the lackluster Chungmuro, K-netizens are not buying that argument and the movie production itself seems quite happy with what it’s achieved. The movie starring Park Seo Joon and IU directed by the PD of got over 1 million tickets sold last weekend which makes it the biggest movie so far in 2023. The movie still has mixed reviews but at least it made its money back and went in the right direction in terms of bringing in moviegoers.

Not really in to K-movies, but it seems Korean cinema is struggling hard with the effects of streaming. Foreign movies are doing just fine. Anyways, they have two of the most anticipated dramas of the year, so I'm looking forward to that!
Breakeven point for Dream is 2.18 million viewers. I doubt if it will reach that.
