It’s nice to see Dilraba Dilmurat back in full force in promotions, filming drama, and of course attending major fashion and star events. Last week she totally served up edgy and a bit more risque than usual fashion wearing a rhinestone draped light blue mermaid gown that had a faux skin tone mesh panel for more modesty but did look like she was close to accidental boob exposure from a distance. I like that she really went for it complete with matching rhinestone hair pieces giving it a ’20s era siren look but this isn’t a gown style that I find all that pretty.

The Bazaar annual party was a dud in terms of red carpet excitement. Angelababy in Versace was objectively most beautiful but boringly so; she doesn't have the star quality despite her looks. Her second outfit looked great in photos but wasn't suitable for walking the red carpet. Dilraba is the only one people really look out for in such events nowadays, but post Cannes and her connection with Dior means that she has a very limited selection. She also has very high expectations to live up to. This time the dress is a meh, though I get that she's trying something different.
