The tvN second season of Tale of Gumiho wrapped with decent 5% average ratings for the cable network and talk of a third go-around. Female lead from the original season Jo Boa only made a cameo and not sure if she’ll be back for a third season if it does happen, but she’s now confirmed for a romance K-drama Destined with You (Destined to Love You) with Ro Woon so she’s doing just fine. The drama is about a woman who finds a box that somehow a man needs to lift the curse that has plagued his family and now him. Sounds like routine fated to help and love each other drama set up but I’m keeping an open mind to this pairing working onscreen.
There are weird casting choices and this one is weird from both the leads itself…
Well this is an interesting pairing, setting aside the age difference at least I can…
I swear I just wrote about Song Joong Ki having his first baby and then…
At the end of the day, the core of any good drama remains the Story,…

There is suddenly a summer rush of kdramas to watch. The June to October line up is insane. Finally romance and romcom are making a comeback in full force. Netflix needs to stop promoting the trend of dark, heavy dramas and also nonsensical dystopian dramas. Satire and slice of life have become dull too. Give me all the old school kdrama vibes with lots of silly romance and fantasy and jealous/pinning second leads and what not.
This is why I'm so excited for King the Land. I just want my cliches done right man!
can I recommend 1% of Something (2016) on f you’re looking for romcom cliches done right?
It looks fun, a little bit of fantasy in a modern world.
Rowoon always had chemistry with his costars and if it didn't really work with Lee Dong-Wook, Jo Boa had a great chemistry with other actors like Yoo Seung-Ho.
I saw there were some articles making fun of her for not appearing in Season 2 of Nine Tailed. There’s no point for netizens to trash Jo Boa for previous / season 1 of Nine Tailed. I think she had strong presence in the first half. Just that the writing gets messy at second Half. As for her next role, there’s no point to link her to this show, as she is moving on to other roles. As for 2nd season of nine tailed it only has 5%… and nobody is trashing the actors. Poor Jo boa is just easy to pick on coz she is considerably less popular than the others Lee Dong Wook, Kim Bum…
