There is no shortage of star scandals in any industry but also time keeps passing so some are able/insistent on making comebacks and there is another one in K-ent. Former lead actor Uhm Tae Woong is joining the cast of K-drama I Kill You which has leads Kang Ji Young and Lee Ki Kwang and has already started filming. It’s his first project in 7 years since his scandal in 2016 when he was accused of sexual assault (acquitted) but fined and confirmed to have solicited a prostitute and paid a fine. His solicitation happened when his wife was pregnant with their second child to make things even worse. He apologized and accepted responsibility and hasn’t acted since. But his return now K-netizens are attributing to his doting older sister superstar Uhm Jung Hwa who recently had a mega hit with Doctor Cha, and says that she continues to clean up his mess and help him out, which was also attributed to how he became a successful actor in the first place.
This year 2024 has been a slow year for K-actress Suzy in terms of her…
There are weird casting choices and this one is weird from both the leads itself…
Well this is an interesting pairing, setting aside the age difference at least I can…
I swear I just wrote about Song Joong Ki having his first baby and then…
At the end of the day, the core of any good drama remains the Story,…
If I didn't know this drama was a romance set in space and done K-drama…

I was obviously living under a rock for the past 10 years because I didn’t know they were related (!!)
And tbh, despite the fact that I hate watching him on screen or in variety shows (he’s beyond bland it’s ridiculous), seven years is a long time to be reflecting compared to other actors with similar offences. Some people don’t even take 7 months off so meh, I’d say it’s fine. He was acquitted and won’t likely get any lead roles anyway.
He's definitely bland. That's why Kim Nam Gil got all the attention and not him despite KNG playing a supposedly smaller role in Queen Seondeok lol. Every drama I've seen him in, he's always overshadowed lol
Lol he’s a crap actor too on top of being bland af. His emotional scenes are really cringe inducing sometimes. I always forget he was technically the lead in Queen Seondeok. Pretty sure most people do too. That drama was a great example of a great charismatic actor shining through and overshadowing the lead (by a LOT).
Disgusting $&-t, these actors who cheat on their (pregnant) wives and in this guy's case, solicited a prostitute. Can't believe he's related to Dr. Cha. I know A-list actors who did the same, but they're still relevant in the industry. This guy will be fine, thanks to male privilege in that country.
....meanwhile, Yoon Eun Hye stills a persona non grata in Kdramaland .
This! The double standards is insane, ridiculous, and so blatant!
She's getting prettier. Check out her YT channel. I hope that she will return with romcom soon.
What he did was wrong but I don’t believe he should be blacklisted forever.
Agree, because it was a private matter, but Kent industry likes "clean image" so he should have behaved . As a western , i don't give a damn about the private life of a star , but he is privilegied and it's unfair for others actors .
but knetz also never bats an eye about LBH so this is kinda surprising
LBH is k-ent royalty. Basically untouchable. Even if he got into a drug scandal like Yoo Ah In, he'd probably come out unscathed. UTW on the other hand, is a b-lister who just has a famous older sister. So he's not spared from criticism, though I'm sure k-netz will eventually let it slide.
Crazy how men always cheat on their wives when the wives are sick or pregnant. Thank goodness I'm not attracted to men 🤮
I think what made his scandal worse was the fact that not only did all this happen while his wife was pregnant she also ended up having a miscarriage from all the stress and she still stayed with him after all of that
