Call this one another unexpected hit for ENA, the small cable network that’s now on the radar thanks to the mega hit Extraordinary Attorney Woo and keeping up a steady pace with that momentum. Currently airing mother-daughter drama Not Others with Jeon Hye Jin and Sooyoung just hit 3.623% ratings in episode 6 which is really high for ENA. The reviews are really good, viewers are enjoying the mother-daughter almost as bickering same emotional age frenemies dynamic, and throw in male leads Park Sung Hoon and Ahn Jae Wook and there’s something for everyone. Also, nice to see those two dudes not being horrible and dark as in their recent dramas haha. Imma check this out when I have time, it sounds like a lighter version of The Good Bad Mother.
There are weird casting choices and this one is weird from both the leads itself…
Well this is an interesting pairing, setting aside the age difference at least I can…
I swear I just wrote about Song Joong Ki having his first baby and then…

I picked this drama up on a whim when I had nothing but weekend dramas to watch and had a bit of a show hole. And I was instantly addicted. The leads are all so fun and delightful and fresh. This mother-daughter dynamic is not one I can recall seeing before in a Kdrama (and I've seen over 300, so could just be I don't remember). Anyhow, I really like it. It's nothing earth-shattering, but it keeps me thoroughly entertained with likeable characters.
A breath of fresh air in the sea among romcom comedies that feature actors that can't act and yes...a solid focus on mother-daughter relationship that touches Koreans' lives.
It's soooo good!!!
Good acting; no amend it to great acting and solid cast chemistry especially the mother- daughter. Its fairly fast paced. The supporting actors are excellent.
It made me go back and rewatch Five Enough.
Its also very physical as well. Have to say I might not recover from what I saw in episode 1 too. My poor eyes. I am as traumatised as the daughter. Lol. Thats why I am continuing to watch it because the show went there in episode 1 already. I cannot even believe I mentioned it here. Good lord. I didn't know what I was watching.
If this becomes a big hit, it will be Park Sung Hoon's second one after The Glory. Good for him because I've always liked him and has been rooting for him to blow up for so long lol. Also Sooyoung is definitely my favorite Girls Generation-member-turned-actress along with Yuri, those two can really act
I love this so much. A breathe of fresh air.
I like it . For once a fresh and realistic relationship between a mother and her daughter . I just love Jeon Hye Jin who is a great actress ( i watch all her projects) just as her husband is . Sooyoung is my favorite GG turned actress, and bonus Park Sung Hoon who is under my radar since years . Perfect drama for summertime and other seasons too !
Thanks Koala for this post .Happy to see that many are watching and loving it
OK but how many years are mother and daughter apart? Jeon Hye Jin cannot be more than 10 years older than Sooyoung. Is this addressed in the show ?
@Nena
In the recent episode, they revealed the daughter’s age is 30 years old. And the mother is in late 40s. Im not sure what age she got her, but i think its 16-17 years old?
Love this drama. Unfortunately its only scheduled for 12 episodes.
