This is either the hardest C-drama to cast or just made for generating casting buzz. In a full six months since Zhao Lu Si has been cast as the female lead of Tang Dynasty period drama Pearl Curtain Jade Curtain basically 2/3rds of the C-ent drama actor have been rumored as the male lead. So far not a single dude has confirmed but this latest new dude has generated the most excitement in awhile, namely Liu Yu Ning is the latest actor that is reportedly taking on the male lead opposite Zhao Lu Si, which will be reuniting the two from their second lead stealing turn in The Long Ballad. They were reportedly adorable together with the stoic bodyguard and the feisty princess pairing and now both have leveled up to lead roles so if they do reunite that would be another reason to check out this drama.

Yes love this pairing in Long Ballad than the main CP. I feel Liu Yu Ning looks better in costume drama.
