• So refreshing to see kstars being more open with their personal life while still setting boundaries. And Son Ye Jin is wholesome as always. Happy for her.

• I am not a shipper at all but you can tell this couple are a truly in love. I'm so happy for Son Ye Jin that she found a good, respectful guy in the same age range as her in Hyun Bin too. It's tough dating for women in SK especially successful women in their 30s up. Most Korean guys in their 30s-40s are misogynists with sexist archaic views of women.

Since they started dating, Hyun Bin has booked how many movies and Yejin only did one series. After getting married Hyun Bin released 2 movies and Yejin still has yet to come back but she happily she says she has to focus on her family. I haven’t seen any Hyun Bin interview where he says the same thing about slowing down and putting family first, it seems that he wants to keep going. I’m happy for Yejin but she is missed on-screen, I’d choose watching her over Hyun Bin anytime (he’s a nice guy, but definitely not one of the best actors out there). They’re obviously a traditional Korean couple and I know Yejin’s mom was a housewife and Hyun Bin’s mom too, he even said he expects his wife to be the same 🤐 We’ll see when Yejin comes back. So far, Jisung and Boyoung are the perfect example of a well-balanced marriage: they won both in career and love.

    • Ji Sung also worked non-stop while Lee Boyoung was pregnant and on a break after child birth. Hyun Bin booked two movies after dating confirmation. The other that opened after his wedding was filmed in 2020 right after CLOY. I think people forget that Yejin was supposed to do a joing Hollywood/Korean production after CLOY that got delayed and eventually scrapped by Covid. He took more than year's break between filming while Yejin worked on her drama and adjusted to marriage and pregnancy. Yejin worked up until a month before her wedding but soon got pregnant. Hyun Bin hasn't had a casting news since Harbin wrapped last March. He has always said his idea of being a good father is working to provide for his family. That's pretty much normal in other parts of the world. It's not as if his wife is idling at home when she just bought a 24 billion won building, is filming CFs, going abroad for photoshoots and fashion week, and doing variety shows.

    • Did you ever think she wants to be home with her baby instead of acting for your pleasure? She has money, can afford the time off, and her baby is more important than you. Boyoung took a while to come back too. Even park shin hye. Don't project yourself on others if you don't know their reasons for not making a drama/movie for you. Bless your heart.

    • Lol at comparing a 10 year marriage vs 1 year marriage. When LBY got pregnant in 2014 she also took a break and came back in 2017. BinJin's baby is not even 1 year old and you're already expecting her to be working again. I see the pattern, a hater will always be a hater. Just can't accept that the couple is happy and thriving.

She gave birth in November LAST YEAR - besides the fact that paternity leave in SK is 12 months, none of us know how she's dealing with the physical and emotional changes, but you still want her to jump back into exhausting and stressful filming schedules? This is on top of HB only working on mandatory obligations to films and CF deals, by the way, as he hasn't taken on any new projects and seems to be spending the majority of his time with his family. YJ is a woman who has worked nearly every year since she started her career, so if she chooses not to come back in even 5 years, she's still done enough work to cement a legacy in her field. It's ultimately her choice, and if you knew anything about her personality, you'd know that she'd never let someone browbeat her into forcibly becoming a housewife at the expense of her career, and she'd certainly never marry someone who would do something like that. If you want to be a hater, at least make some rational points in your trolling, will you?

    • Super agree with jisung and boyoung! they have success in both career and love. i always love seeing actors so involved with their children, jisung is a talented actor and a great father. same with ki taeyoung, i love watching him with his daughters on funstaurant. i don't get when binjin shippers say binjin won in both career and love when it's only hyunbin who's still active (and hasn't won or nominated for anything) lol but i know yejin will be successful whenever she comes back, koreans love her too much.

  • actually i remember a binjin fan saying yejin dropped out of that hollywood movie to spend time with hyunbin after his filming, and that she didn't accept that project with kang haneul and youn yuhjung to prioritise her marriage with hyunbin. tbh it's binjin shippers themselves who set the couple up for hate with their narratives lmao

    • What in the fanfic?? Lol. Her Hollywood project didn't push through because of Covid, she didn't "drop out" to spend more time with HB. That Kang Ha Neul project, on the other hand, I'm not quite sure why she turned it down. Nobody knows, but maybe the script just didn't appeal to her.

• The way binjin fans dick-ride Hyunbin is so funny. It doesn’t change the fact he has been doing and releasing more works than Yejin ever since they confirmed in 2021 🤣 Actually right after confirmation Hyunbin’s team decided to announce a project (CA2) right away, probably not to dishearten his fans 🤣 I won’t be surprised if he announces a new project again, he’s just taking a long break now to not make it obvious that he’s a workaholic 🤣 But good for Yejin for doing things her way, even if so many people want her to come back to the screen.   • Son Yejin a vanilla actor? Lmao she's one of the greats. But I agree on Hyun Bin definitely good looking but definitely one of the best. I think his leading ladies carry his projects, from MLKSS, SeGa and CLOY. He does well in action though but again, there are many Korean actors who are better than him.

    • I think what the commenter meant by “vanilla” is that they're not one of those celebs who people either love or hate (ie. those with scandals, those with polarizing public images, etc.). Both of them are likeable, no major scandals, etc. They're just very likeable people who do their thing quietly and definitely not the type who will attract haters. That's how I at least interpreted the comment. Which I agree! I'm not a fan of them but even I am surprised that they have extreme haters lol

  • Tbh as someone who has been in Yejin's fandom since 2018, I understand the dislike towards BinJin shippers. Majority of them are truly only interested in SYJ's and HB's personal life, not their projects. They didn't even watch Yejin's last project before she got married. But at least Yejin has a reputation within K-Drama and K-movie fandom that every now and then her past works are brought up and it goes viral. With Hyun Bin, i hardly see anyone talking about his career except for his 10 fans on Twitter. BinJin shippers are different kind of breed, I remember when they zoomed in on Yejin's food during their honeymoon to see if she was drinking alcohol and speculate if she's pregnant. And way before BinJin confirmed their relationship, the desperation from shippers were so real someone edited Yejin's picture to make it look like she's pregnant. Lmao and most of them are Filipino and Indonesian whose shipping culture in their country are extreme and toxic. Both Yejin and Hyun Bin deserve better.

• Lmao the comments are something. SYJ is definitely missed. I hope some fans would understand that her 20 years in the industry was no joke, she literally took projects back-to-back. So let her enjoy some precious time with her son who is not even 1 year old. I am a feminist and I don't think that what makes a woman strong is how quickly she can go back to work after giving birth. All women are different! Jun Jihyun was filming while she was pregnant, amazing of her! Lee Boyoung took 2 years break after giving birth for her 1st child, still amazing of her! Jeon Doyeon took a short break after giving birth, good for her! Lee Youngae took 5 years break to focus on raising her child, amazing of her! :) And these are all actresses who still has a powerful reputation in K-Ent even after getting married and becoming a mother. What more with Yejin who is without a doubt one of the biggest and the best star in Korea? And from what i can tell has a very dedicated fandom? She's not going anywhere.

• If you look at Yejin's filmography and her career, you can tell she knows how to pick her projects that is very fitting for the current situation, idk how to explain it, but basically she knows the right time for a certain project. Anyways, I'm sure she is timing her comeback and right now so many new faces in k-ent are slaying it. Give chance to others. Yejin has had 20 straight years of stardom and success. 1-5 years of living a normal life is nothing, it will go by quickly; but Yejin even is working right now from what i read online, attending events, doing cfs, buying buildings etc She is still pretty much in the spotlight which is a very good sign she is not going anywhere and like she said if she encounters a good script, she will definitely come back. Just like any actress-mother, a script has to be excellent for them to accept it coz leaving your child is such a hard thing to do. I'm not a fan of Hyun Bin I only believe he's a good guy coz of Yejin's good words about him but I don't think he's all that active right now either? Harbin was announced in 2021 and there's no casting news since, seems like he's waiting for Yejin's comeback too. Wish people would stop hating and just let them live their life, they are humans too. • what the heck, the comments are doing the most! bwhahahaha. i guess that's just how much son yejin is loved and missed. i don't think any other actress has this amount of fans riled up for being on acting hiatus which literally all actress-moms went through at some point in their career. is it dislike towards hyun bin? or the shippers? i can understand the shippers becuz they are very weird. but hyun bin? not a fan of his acting (only liked sega coz of jiwon and cloy coz of yejin) but he does seem like a nice guy and yejin has repeated many times he's a good person and makes her feel warm and protected (literally in her wedding announcement). if you compared hyun bin to other korean actors his age right now he is actually pretty inactive too, only see him doing product commercials and attending several brand events. i am going to have to side-eye him if he announces a new acting project before yejin, i'm not gonna lie. >.< i also hope people would stop comparing them to jisung and lee boyoung who have been married for 10 years coz binjin has only been married for 1 so let's not jump to any conclusions yet of their marriage set up.

• Some of the comments sound like the trolls on twitter. Lol. Some make it sound like yejin is retiring permanently from acting when she's just taking a break to enjoy being a mother which is what she wants. And i am happy she gets to make that choice.

  So many k-actresses have comeback to acting after taking a break. Jdy, lya, lby, jjh. They are older than yejin and they are all doing great. So just have patience. Let her enjoy her baby.
