C-actress Wang Chu Ran Ordered by Agency to Stop Rolling Her Eyes Amidst Rumors that C-actors Don’t Want to Star with Her Because of Her Bad Attitude

It takes brick upon brick to build a foundation and one big storm to potentially tear it down. C-actress Wang Chu Ran‘s rise to female lead has been backed by her agency but this summer’s poorly received performance and character in Fireworks of My Heart has done enough to wobble things a bit. She was called out for saying she liked her character who turned fans off along her reputation of being difficult to work with and a diva came back including how she frequently rolls her eyes at people. She’s still getting cast in dramas but recently there was some talk that a few C-actors have passed on dramas where she is in talks for the female lead because they don’t want to work with her. That and the summer’s bad buzz has led to her agency reportedly ordering her to fix her attitude and forbidding her from rolling her eyes (fixing that bad habit of hers). Honestly it’s an annoying expression to have towards people so if she can stop it will only benefit her.

  • Well, when you become a celebrity, you kind of sold your soul to the public and your agency…so, if you want to continue getting work, it’s best to abide by the rules until you can make the rules yourself.

    • ‼️I NOTICE THESE WEBSITE ALWAYS TRY TO BASHING WANG CHURAN. STOP SUPPORTING THESE WEBSITES EVERYONE‼️‼️ Plus I have watched the original video where they claim her rolling eyes.Let me tell you haters really cut the video at a certain time, when it looked bad, and made a false narrative about her. There is full length of the video where they cut short and an explanation video of this incident. When you saw the vid you will see that its is not happening as they describe it is. Don't ruin people's lives!!! If you don't believe it, you can watch the video by yourself at weibo‼️‼️

  • It's quite funny how habitual she rolls her eyes. I think one of the worst things her company have done for her is to market her as looking similar to Liu Yifei. Although Liu Yifei is no longer at the height of her beauty, her appearance gives off kind vibes and her Zhao LingEr and Xiao Long Nü's image is very much ingrained into the public's heart. Putting Wang Churan next to that kind and innocent image when she constantly rolls her eyes (which don't look kind and innocent) is seriously such a bad idea.

    • Wang Chu Ran is stunning but she and LYF have very different looks. WCR is a throwback to the older generation of grand, classic beauties. She and the Korean actress Moon Ga Young have a similar look.

  • Diva attitude not suitable for C-ent. Dunno what’s the big hype about her. She is okay but not the most beautiful or the most talented actress around.

In a way it’s good that she has an indifferent attitude coz trolls and haters can drive some actors to depression and suicidal tendencies.

At least she gives people another distraction so they won’t go picking on other actresses such as Zhao Lusi, Ju Jingyi…all the time…

But knowing there are plenty of trolls or haters on social media platforms… the others won’t be spared even with new target like WCR.

  • This is so LOL, this is the first time I ever heard of this action as a habit. I thought only kids do this to annoy the parents but will grow out once the phase is over.

    • Hehehe … I don’t know why but I am laughing at this news so hard … this is seriously funny. It’s true being public figure you have to maintain good attitude in the public and in the set

  • Her eyes are so big...one can really see he pupils rolling...I wish I am blessed with such big eyes too. I will roll my eyes as a habit too...Lol.

Anyway, I think many of her bad press recently may be from fans of Yang Yang who is jealous of her as we all do not know if both are really dating. Yang Yang is also a time bomb, anyone that is close to him can get hurt by explosion caused by his jealous fans. Of course not all fans are jealous, just the bad eggs that is in every basket..

  • God forbid an actress show an ounce of personality...

You will never convince me that the hate towards her isn't rooted in the fact that she is dating Yang Yang.

  • Hahahaha I like her for not giving a $hit. Too bad this won't last. It's about time for an artist to show SOME personality and feistiness.

  • All the negative rumours about her started after she was ""revealed"" to be dating Yang Yang
Too many theories can be formed about the hate campaign against her

  • okay, the second one is definitely rolling her eyes. But the first picture she could've just been looking at the ceiling while they were fixing her hair, etc. This just seems like pure bullying. I don't think eye rolling is that big of a deal. Some people do it as kind of fun/sarcastic reaction. I have friends who do that and we just laugh at it...

  • I don't get her visuals nor her acting. Her character in The Longest Promise was not in the original novel, made up by the scriptwriter and totally extra. Her insertion to the cast of TLP forced the 2nd half of the drama to completely deviate from the most interesting part in the novel. Many fans like the 2nd half of the drama better than the fist half, however. But I personally think the 2nd half of the script was not well written and incoherent, making the plot highlights underwhelming. For that reason, I dislike her character in the drama very much. I personally think her arcs ruin the flow of the plot. I wonder if nepotism came into play again. So the scriptwriter and the director had to make up useless scenes of her.

    • At least HER acting in The Longest Promise was MILES better than the lead actress who was practically unwatchable.

Wang Churan’s looks are stunning. But I find myself tired of looking at her. Her looks are like rich chocolate cake, only good in small doses, too much, and it puts me off. Now I understand why actresses with ‘girl-next-door’ kind of beauty like Zhao Lusi, Esther Yu, Yang Mi, Yang Zi are much preferred as actresses. It’s because, while you appreciate their good looks, it’s not distracting enough to take you out of the drama.

As for the eye roll - blame it on her huge eyeballs. It’s one of the fallouts of having really big eyes. I have often been accused of rolling my eyes, when it is completely unintentional. It happens when I’m especially tired or having trouble focusing. That’s not to say it’s always unintentional. There are times when we all do the eye roll due to different situations.

I like her feistiness and am doubly surprised this is making the news. Sounds like negative press by jealous antis(aunties). Put anyone under the microscope and you will always find enough flaws to fill an encyclopedia. We are all human, lol.

      • I can name a great number of very beautiful Hong Kong actress in the 80s,90s who are great on screen as female leads.
But in China, only Fan BingBing, NiNi and Gong Li are very beautiful and talented for me... I am sure there are others but I dont remember them.
I too feel next door pretty actresses are more popular on telly.

      • Her acting better than the FL in TLP? A huge NOPE from my perspective. I don't think she's pretty in my eyes. Well, visuals are not debatable since aesthetic values are all subjective. Therefore it's not a valid point to debate. As her acting, I can understand why fans whine about her disobedient-kids-rolling-eyes. LOL. I watched some of her dramas (e.g., Royal Feast) and she did exhibit the same kinda aloof, disdainful facial and eye expressions regardless of what kinda characters she assumed in the dramas. She gave out the same kinda vibe in each drama that seemed to tell audience I was an aloof bitch! LOL. What kind of acting is that?

I did feel that a barrage of scathing comments about her and Yang Yang in Fireworks of My Heart are more malicious cyberbully than reasonable critiques. But fairly speaking, netizens' criticism of her eye-rolling isn't unfounded. She needs to pay attention for improvement.
