I’m normally okay with preemptions these days since it’s been awhile since a K-drama got me addicted but I’m thisclose to be super addicted to MBC weekly rom-com A Good Day to be a Dog and this week’s unexpected non-airing of episode 4 hit me like ice cold water. I need my doggie couple and the obligatory cuteness of doggie Hae Na! This is the first drama I’ve enjoyed watching Cha Eun Woo in, he’s gorgeous per usual but his acting as stiff and awkward hottie math teacher just hits all the right beats. Park Kyu Young shines as the girl who turns into a dog upon love’s one true kiss or whatever the curse is and her narration as doggie Hae Na is just so lyrical on the ears. I haven’t read the webtoon intentionally to stay surprised but I can’t wait to see their romance blossom and him overcoming his dog phobia.
This year 2024 has been a slow year for K-actress Suzy in terms of her…
There are weird casting choices and this one is weird from both the leads itself…
Well this is an interesting pairing, setting aside the age difference at least I can…
I swear I just wrote about Song Joong Ki having his first baby and then…
At the end of the day, the core of any good drama remains the Story,…
If I didn't know this drama was a romance set in space and done K-drama…

The acting here for both leads + LHW is so cringe even for a romcom. Especially CEW, he seems to play the same character as TB and Gangnam Beauty.
It's a fun drama but I didn't really miss it.
For me, CEW is doing the same he did in My ID Is Gangnam and True Beauty, except now he's an adult, even if there are not a lot of differences between the students and the teachers.
PKY is very cute in this role.
This drama is so adorable... and fun to watch.
Should I check? I'm currently watching Flower of Evil that has kept me totally occupied. OK this was a 2020 drama. I'm now just catching up since I had a break of years from drama land. I might have trouble changing mood switching from one very intense drama to another light-hearted one though. LOL. I love FoE so much. Lee Joon Gi is a great actor and had great chemistry with Moon Chae Won who was also pretty good. I found the director brilliant and knew later on that he won the best TV director award from Baeksang for FoE. I think I have a good taste. LOL
Flower of Evil was such a good drama. It could have been a few episodes shorter, but overall it was an excellent watch.
I love Lee Joon Gi and Moon Chae Won... Good choice. I too have a long list of K-drama to catch up with. I can feel your emotions...Lol.
This drama is vety light hearted. Watch it if you like some cuteness and like looking at Cha Eun woo... It may not be to your taste...
LOL. Gals give me some good recommendation PLZ! Other than looking up in Koala's archive, I don't have luxurious time in finding out more. I basically checked the works of those K actors I've already known and liked.
On a side note, I can't help bitching about C drama recommendations that had wasted me so much free time to just check out and 95% failed me. I tried to watch C drama all thanks to Xiao Zhan and Chinese being my first language but dang! They are such huge disappointments! C dramas need brilliant script writers and directors. Firstly, stop all useless fillers and actors cast through nepotism !
@HL, you got it right. CEW is not up my alley. I actually prefer more Asian looks cos I'm a bit tired of watching western faces on screen. LOL. But I don't dislike him. I'm just indifferent to his visuals. Besides, I didn't get his acting in other works.
Cha Eun Woo looks like the manhwa character! No wonder he always gets cast on webtoon based projects.
After watching Doona, I just wanted to watch this week's episode to give me good vibes but Arrggh!!!! It only airs once a week and they just have to be so stingy. The leads are just starting to get chummy and they were gonna attend the wedding this week... I just have to wait longer because they decided to air something sporty. If only they'd air 2 eps next to make it up to the viewers.
I didn't watch yet , but i'm going too . I was disapointed by "Destined with you" which began great and went meh for me . I'm not into Strong girl Nam Soon, too much of a Dc comics side , Twinkling Watermelon is cute but not addicting . So i began to watch The killing vote , Evilive,...but i need a litte of pink .
I like rose....
I loved Destined With You. I finally found my favorite couple for 2023! They were chaotic but really fun, cute and sexy.
Strong Girl Nam Soon is not really good. I would have preferd she spent more time to find her family or knowing them instead to catch a drug villain.
I like Chung-Ah and her scenes in Twingling Watermelon, I'm not interested by the rest.
My opinion is similar, nam soon was meh, too childish for me. Destined with you hmm, premise was okay but uh I can’t stand the male lead character writing. Killing vote was arghh it was good premise too but there is so many plot holes. Especially that scene where they let the killer got away, he is a KILLER not thief and they just let him go like that??
I actually like twinkling watermelon quite a lot, it was cute seeing the clips, but I haven’t watch it in full. I’m gonna wait and see if it’s good till the end. At least the acting seems solid from all casts.
Eunwoo has this live Manga physique, it's not strange he gets casted to play Manga characters. Nevertheless, I wish he would take some acting lessons because he doesn't seem to be getting any better. He's not bad for the tsundere type he's doing, but at some point he should progress.
When his acting skills improves, he will given so many good scripts to pick... Wow. That will be so good.
Doona was amazing. Binged it twice. Excellent direction, poignant dialogue and memorable scenes. Its my favourite kdrama this year. Suzy improved a lot and Yang Se Jong is always reliable. Most of all the chemistry worked between them. You should try to catch it while waiting...
Agree, chemistry was nice
Am watching Doona. Suzy surprised me with Anna and continues to outperform my expectation. She used to be dinged for bad acting all the time. What an impressive breakthrough.
I'm loving it too. It's so fluffy and sweet. And the comedy bits are gold, I laughed so much when the dog was brought to school and she was saving him every time from being discovered that he's scared of dogs.
Can't wait for next episodes :D
This drama is cute and funny. I haven't had a good laugh from drama for a while. I have fun watching it.
Yes, it is very cute...Love the dogs on set so much...
In a previous post i said that i'll watch it , i did and even if i'm not into this kind of fantasy drama, i 'm liking it . It's funny and cute . A special mention to Park Kyu Young, i liked her in Dali and the cocky prince, Celebrity,..She is now in the list of the actresses i'll watch . As Park Eun Bin a few years ago . She never let me down . Actresses who can play all kind of genres .
