This past weekend the hit jTBC weekend drama Strong Girl Nam Soon ended and with a new ratings high of over 10%, putting itself in the same storied list of top rated cable dramas on the network. It was the second installment of the same premise story of a teeny tiny girl with superhuman strength following Strong Girl Bong Soon and the success of both dramas has the production already greenlighting a third go-around but from the spoilers at the end of this drama it will be a guy as the lead. This drama had high ratings domestically but did not generate a lot of online buzz and chatter, though I did head good reviews for leads Lee Yoo Mi and Ong Seung Woo, as expected, and surprisingly strong feedback around Byun Woo Seok as the antagonist role. I liked the reunion of long lost daughter with her birth family story but everything else was a snooze for me.
This year 2024 has been a slow year for K-actress Suzy in terms of her…
There are weird casting choices and this one is weird from both the leads itself…
Well this is an interesting pairing, setting aside the age difference at least I can…
I swear I just wrote about Song Joong Ki having his first baby and then…
At the end of the day, the core of any good drama remains the Story,…
If I didn't know this drama was a romance set in space and done K-drama…

Well idk, 10% is definitely overrated. The plot was a mess. Basically there’s nothing interesting about the family after they reunited. As the supposed main focus, the mom and grandma role is too boring. Mom overreact all the time and the grandma dating story was cringey
Why the worst Kdramas have seasons... I really don't understand.
This one was so bad. It started well with the FL searching for a family. But after that, it was ridiculous. The FL was acting like a child during the whole show. The drug plot didn't make sense. The couple had no chemistry. The grandma and the mum's plots were ridiculous.
I agree that the acting was so bad. From the Strong Girl up to the Strong Grandmother, it was ho-hum acting. Nam Soon acted like a child taking her first steps.
I dropped it at the get-go right after ep 1. It did not look interesting.
SAME!
The leads in the first Bong Soon were so captivating as was the plot. This one was nothing like it. Kim Jung-eun often over-acts, and her now as superwoman Ma runnning ... was really yawn.
Really curious about the domestic response for this drama because this seems to be generally panned/hated across the main kdrama sites (reddit, MDL, DB). Already dubbed as the worst kdrama over there.
Ryu Sio deserve better lol. Justice for Byeon Wooseok too. That dude always die whenever he got lead role lol
10% rating? well damn I didn't expect that or that the 2nd season has actually already been confirmed? Does this drama need more episodes though? It was ridiculous from the start. the only good thing about this is byeon woo seok
I loved Strong Girl Do Bong Soon, it has been a classic comedy series. Park Bo Young and Park Hyung Sik have the most loved chemistry. I was so disappointed with this Namsoon Girl. It's a total mess. The storyline and the casts. There is no chemistry between the lead actors. I'm sorry to say this but she's just good as a zombie/villain in All of Us are dead. Why create a season 2 when you can't afford to hire famous actors? The only known actors casted in this season is the villain and the grandmother. It's a total mess. Please don't do season 3 if it's not inline with Season 1. Worst season ever.👎
It didn't work for me . I watched the first 2 episodes and it was more than enough . The characters were ridiculous and the plot a mess . The 1st drama worked thanks to the amazing chemistry between the leads , the hilarious gang of bad boys . But in this one ...Speechless...
Totally agreed. The reunion part caught my attention. After that, everything just went downhill. Cant handle the cringey love story between the grandma and her bae and everyone over acts
She was fine in squid game and she started cute then it just went overboard
