There are countless instances of rumors that a star has passed away later debunked but still the ones that get pretty big tend to be sadly confirmed. This week is starting off with the shocking rumor that veteran HK-actress Kathy Chow (Zhou Hai Mei) has passed away. If it’s true she would have been 57 years old. The rumor started with one Weibo post, but a few others added on that it’s true and happened at home in an accident and the neighborhood police and ambulance was called. Her agency and assistant refuses to comment after media publications reached out for confirmation or denial, reportedly phone calls keep getting hung up on. Calls to Kathy’s cell phone are also not being answered. There is also a reportedly cause of death as well, that Kathy suffered from lupus and it could lead to a sudden passing. If this is true it’s so shocking as I grew up watching Kathy on HK and TW dramas and HK movies and she was one of those classic beauties with great onscreen appeal.
