The currently filming C-drama Perfect Match has released a pretty concept poster rendered like an old Chinese brush painting of a cityscape complete with socializing gentle folk. While I loathe to watch a Yu Zheng produced drama I do like leads Wang Xing Yue and Lu Yu Xiao not to mention the Pride and Prejudice get five sisters married hijinks and different romantic pairings. The drama has already filmed what appears to be a wedding scene with the two leads and it’s like Yu Zheng took red wedding attire and asked “how much more extra can I make it” haha and then decided it’s more red flowers in the head pieces. Thank goodness the two leads pull it off.
There are weird casting choices and this one is weird from both the leads itself…
Well this is an interesting pairing, setting aside the age difference at least I can…
I swear I just wrote about Song Joong Ki having his first baby and then…
At the end of the day, the core of any good drama remains the Story,…
If I didn't know this drama was a romance set in space and done K-drama…
If Wang Xing Yue ever needs extra money he can be a professional dubber for…

I dont know these 2 artistes well... do they really have leading roles presences and aura?
I do like WXY in scent of time. His acting is good and this dude started his career as a supporting actor. He can act as an antagonist and protagonist.
LYX is pretty. Not a fan of her acting but well, I haven't watched many dramas of her tho.
Will give this drama a try.
I see...I never watched Scent of Time.
Yui, I will start watching Scent of Time now...
@ HL he is in Amidst a Snowstorm of love as the FL's cousin. He doesnt do much on this drama comparing to his previous. But since i enjoy watching it too, i'll recommend you to give it a try. But it's typical MBFB's dramas lol
LYX was pretty bland in The Longest Promise for a minor role. Her character was greatly reduced from the novel to almost nonexistent in the drama adaptation and perhaps that's why. Her antagonist vibe in My Journey to You freaked me out. LOL. She looked so creepy in that role with very uncomfortable smiles all the time as if yelling out loud: here I am the spy you're looking for. LMAO. She's one of the major reasons I quit watching MJtY. Nonetheless, being able to take different roles of totally opposite personality is quite impressive though. I don't think she can't act. Being likable or not is another story.
As for WXY, I have only one impression/question: why did he always take roles much older than his real age and he DID look older than he was? LOL.
@Somebody, your comment on LYX made me laugh.
I just dont see leading role star quality in them. Regardless if they can act or now. ... Since Yu Zheng picked them...he must have good reasons.
LYX was good in MJTY. She was indeed scary in that role
Wang Xing Yue acting was not bad as the pure, stoic, law-driven and modest official in SOTKP and he is actually good as the mature, charismatic, strict, cold but appreciative Meng Xiao Dong in Amidst A Snowstorm of Love. His character got a nice dynamism with Wu Lei in there. I think he is YuZheng's best recruit in years, both in outer appearance and acting chops, after Chen Xiao left. He still got a long way to go but so far WXY as an actor has been better than expected (I see a lot of videos on BiliBili praising him) and I have yet and see or read anyone take a jab at his diction and voice projection (he dubs himself in his works) something the likes of BaiLu or XuKai struggle with apparently
Oh what's wrong with his diction? I didn't notice any issues.
@Somebody
From what I have heard from Chinese people here and there on the net, Wang Xing Yue voice and diction are rather decent. His enounciation is clear. But apparently Xu Kai's and Bai Lu's are not so good (I even see some videos on BiliBili making fun of her for example).
I like both leads but I refuse to watch anything produced by that despicable human being. Hard pass.
Wow, Wang Xing Yue is literally in every drama or something!
WXY is basically almost everywhere now since he is Yuzheng's new fave 😂. I think I liked him more when he was playing the 2nd lead in One and Only like he had more fire and an aura around him. I don't like him enough to follow him, but I thought he was pretty flat in Story of Kunning.
I have the same thoughts.
I dissed him here before for SOKP, but I just finished O&O and find him pleasantly watchable. So maybe he just needs the right direction to make a role interesting.
His apparition in the Variety show "Duel of KungFu" about acting and all that helps him a lot grow his popularity.
