There was a period where I wondered if Lee Do Hyun would really break out. I loved him in Hotel Del Luna and he gave off strong the next Jung Hae In vibes. He went off to pick smart roles and interesting dramas but it really was the last year in 2023 right before his military enlistment that all the stars aligned. The Glory was a mega hit, he started dating costar Lim Ji Yeon, and the one movie he filmed before enlisting has turned into the first domestic movie success of 2024 with Exhuma. Recently he was spotted by fans on a date with Lim Ji Yeon during one of his vacation days and this week with Exhuma’s cast celebrating the movie breaking 3 million tickets sold in 5 days since premiere he wasn’t able to be there but posted his own add on picture from the army, and of course days later it broke 4 and then 5 million in swift succession.

There are weird casting choices and this one is weird from both the leads itself…
Well this is an interesting pairing, setting aside the age difference at least I can…
I swear I just wrote about Song Joong Ki having his first baby and then…
At the end of the day, the core of any good drama remains the Story,…

Ι am glad for him. He may not have top visuals, but he is very talented and seeing talented actors succeed is always a reason to rejoice.
I just saw him recently for the first time in Death's Game. I liked him a lot, but was at first surprised that his character was considered to incredible good looking. I didn't see it at first but he definetly grew on me. After that I wachted Good Mother Bad Mother and 18 again and he is someone i will continue to follow.
He's probably one of the best actors in his age group. I think he did well in most of his roles with only a few forgettable performances. For instance, I found him just okay in The Glory but he impressed me soon after in Good Bad Mother.
I liked him in Hotel de Luna. I remembered searching his name up after that drama and was so disappointed that he wasn't more popular.
Fast forward to several years, I watched the Glory without realizing he's the same actor. He portrayed each character so differently, I didn't realized he was the same actor I liked back in Hotel de Luna
He definitely deserves his success. One of the most talented young actors around and he seem to work non-stop. I think he has solidified his place especially with this film being a huge hit and he will be able to come back fine after his military service.
I am happy to see his career blowing up than another one note 'visual' or idol. He did get stuck in a rut of noona romances for a little while but, fortunately, he and his agency realised they were typecasting him and he branched into other roles which showcased his talent without some contrived older woman-younger man romance (even if he is in a noona romance in real life with Lim Ji Yeon lol!)
Lee Do-Hyun is a super talented, versatile & immpeccable actor of all time in South Korea. I was astounded when I learnt that he had to juggle his debut movie, Exhuma with The Good Bad Mother, Death's Game & Sweet Home simultatneously. My jaw literally dropped.
