Awwwww, I love this cameo reunion and it’s also an inversion of their prior roles. Award winning chameleon actor Oh Jung Se will be making a guest appearance in this weekend’s tvN drama Queen of Tears which will reunite him with his former onscreen costar Kim Soo Hyun. The two very memorably played brothers in It’s Okay to Not be Okay, Oh Jung Se was the intellectually slow artistic older brother and Kim Soo Hyun the fiercely protective younger brother. Their relationship was the best part of that drama even before female lead Seo Ye Ji‘s scandal made her formerly buzzy role feel feel like fiction mirroring reality. From the just released pictures above, it looks like Oh Jung Se will be playing Kim Soo Hyun’s doctor to help him with his married life emotional crisis.
This year 2024 has been a slow year for K-actress Suzy in terms of her…
There are weird casting choices and this one is weird from both the leads itself…
Well this is an interesting pairing, setting aside the age difference at least I can…
I swear I just wrote about Song Joong Ki having his first baby and then…
At the end of the day, the core of any good drama remains the Story,…
If I didn't know this drama was a romance set in space and done K-drama…

It’s absolutely bananas how this is the most I’ve exciting thing about a drama that’s already the most exciting drama of the year lol. That’s how much I love these two together! They’ve got such a sweet and authentic relationship in real life, and have sent each other food trucks throughout the years. I still remember Oh Jung Se’s winning speech at the Baeksangs where he (at legnth) talked about the importance of a lead in a supporting cast’s performance with Kim Soo Hyun watched teary eyed. They’re just so lovely and of of my absolute favourite bromance in dramaland.
So happy to see him be a part of this, and I hope these two can work together again in a larger capacity. Also… it’s finally premier day! Felt like forever lol
Oh that is great!
Minor edit: big bro wasn't intellectually slow, he was on the spectrum.
I guess Koala you couldn't resist just dropping Seo ye Ji's name in the mix when the post was perfectly fine without the reference. I take offense to your claim that the buzzy role was 'fiction mirroring reality'. We all know if that was the truth of her being this evil then she would have never been offered 'Eve' by TVN in 2022. Furthermore a lot of the rumours were debunked but that's right no one wanted to know since the damage had already been done-including your blog in which you perpetuated the lies and rumours. On a final note Oh Jung Se in his Baeksang speech also thanked Seo Ye Ji. He didn't have to but he did. https://www.koreaboo.com/news/kim-soo-hyun-sheds-tears-watches-oh-jung-ses-acceptance-speech/
So from the Seo Ye Ji debacle -A youtuber- Kim Yong Ho committed suicide last year (he was at the forefront when SYJ scandel broke spreading a lot of untruths), KBS apologised for their exaggerated reporting on SYJ https://n.news.naver.com/mnews/article/469/0000607486?sid=103; I copy and pasted it here: "The KBS Viewers Committee is an organization established for the purpose of protecting the rights and interests of viewers in accordance with the Broadcasting Act. At this month's meeting, the reports on 'Seo Ye-ji's personality controversy' and 'Everything about the Seo Ye-ji controversy', which were covered over two weeks on KBS2 's 'Entertainment Weekly' last month, were also mentioned as problems. In the broadcast, it seemed like it was an established fact that Seo Ye-ji was a gaslighting perpetrator, and there was criticism that it was inappropriate because it relayed the controversies without confirming the facts as they were. The origin of this controversy is the contract conflict between actress Kim Jung-hyun and her former agency, O& Entertainment, but if you focus on the responsibility of other actresses instead of focusing on this, you will end up fueling another controversy. The production team apologized, saying, "We are very sorry for not being able to deal with the key issues of the contract dispute (related to Kim Jung-hyun), and for creating a structure that seemed to place responsibility only on the parties involved, especially women." In addition, "Even if this was a common love fight between lovers, we judged that it was necessary to point out the dereliction of duty by the actor in question, which made the efforts of numerous drama production crews on the actual filming site in vain, such as the drama's lead actor dropping out, and directly harmed viewers." He added, “But it was a big mistake that we did not approach it more carefully.” Reporter Seungjun Yang comeon @ hankookilbo.com
Also the bullying rumours were squashed because no one wanted to front when called for evidence; funny how that went all quiet; her former staff were staunch enough to call those out that were spreading all these untruths about her and wanted a press conference and no one responded. Yep crickets. So rather then drop SYJ in a post that is going to do more harm then good how about leaving her name out altogether.

What??!!!...blah blah blah.
Yes @dcc and your point is?
If she is completely innocent, why hasnt she got any casting for 2 years and no agency picked her up.after Gold Medalist dropped her? Not saying that she is guilty of everything she was accused for, but for sure there's something that makes her persona non grata in the industry.
@Drewed - Her international fans are waiting patiently for news. It's now March 2024 and she was last cast in 2022 in Eve. Plus she only left GM in November 2023. But what I do know is when the timing is right there will be a huge surge of interest when she does return and I think it will be mid year when it does happen.
@mumma Bear, i don't understand the statement, may be English is my 4th language, can you just summarize, u mean she is COMPLETELY innocent! Just summarize to 5 bullets points.
So in a nutshell I removed the KBS article but the gist of it: "We all know if that was the truth of her being this evil then she would have never been offered 'Eve' by TVN in 2022. Furthermore a lot of the rumours were debunked but that's right no one wanted to know since the damage had already been done-including this blog in which you perpetuated the lies and rumours.
