Top Actor Lee Seon Kyun’s Elderly Father Passes Away Three Months After His Suicide as K-police Continue to Make Arrests for the Mishandling of His Case

In another sad new development in the Lee Seon Kyun investigation and suicide case, last week his elderly father was revealed to have passed away. It was of natural causes but it’s hard not to imagine the grief he must have been dealing with since Lee Seon Kyun passed away three months ago. There is just so much tragedy in that family right now. As for the fallout from Lee Seon Kyun committing suicide after his investigation was prematurely leaked and salacious details made public, police have formally arrested a senior police officer in the same precinct that was leading the investigation and he turns out to be not in that department but in another department. They even did the perp walk but the officer was allowed to wear a mask and keep his head down. I don’t know if Lee Seon Kyun’s family will find solace that at least the people who contributed to his despair and reputation destruction are being held accountable but this is better than the usual slap on the wrist.

  • what a tragedy. I hope there is some hope that something like this will not happen again. I just can't imagine the anguish and the sheer unfairness....

  • This is never ending!! His poor family. The other day I randomly came across a video of him and noticed his voice immediately. Broke my heart because he has such a distinct voice we'll never get to hear again besides in old videos. May his father RIP and together they will meet for a drink again.

  • There's more than just one officer I am sure. The police just need one fall guy to shush the public.

It's such a senseless tragedy. To think that the blackmailers, the fall guy can still maimtaim some privacy while LSK whom was yet to be found guilty (in facf failed 3 drug tests) was shamed endlessly till he made that ultimate drastic decision.

The k-media also has blood on their hands and so as the venemous "perfect: k-netz.

I don't find any solace here other than just for the police to save face.

    • It's not only K-netz. Look how international k-fans reacted at Han So Hee and Kim Soo Hyun "scandals". I'm pretty sure they reacted the same way at Lee Soo Kyung's scandal.
Just a couple of months ago all of them cryed because of Lee Soo Kyung's death and blamed korean netizens for this, and now they're all ready to hate someone else.
What's pissing me off, when Hollywood celebrities does things like this, nobody cares. But when korean celebrity does something not even "bad", just stupid, all react like she/he supposed to be saints, even international k-fans.

  • It's unfathomable entertainment fans in Asian countries would take reel for real and demand on-screen heroes to live like saints. While Asian celebs may be extremely well off, they also pay high prices for that reason. In this case, while government authorities like this senior police officer might be liable for LSK's tragedy, I do think those netizens indicting him outside court were also accomplices to cause his demise.
