• I'm so happy for her! Always great to see a talented, hardworking actress getting recognition. She isn't a classic beauty but I think she is very pretty in a fresh and natural way too.

  I liked her since she was second FL with Bai Jing Ting in 'Rush to the Dead Summer'. I wondered what happened to her as she was so fun and memorable in that role and BJT went on to become very successful but she kind of disappeared.

  • It's weird but she reminds me of Kim Jiwon and if she was born in Korea she wouldn't be stuck in side roles and would be a leading actress with an international fandom.

    Too bad Chinese beauty standards are different and they prefer fancy visuals as opposed to girls who look like elegant girl next doors.

    • Kim Jiwon isn't pale and is more tanned than Zheng He Huizi. There's other like Hyeri, Sooyoung, Yuri, Jennie, Yoona, Kim Yoojung etc who are all tanned. Most of their popular actors are tanned and not pale too

• Another equally beautiful and has potentials to be a greater actress then many of the traffic stars. I hope she gets another leading break through. There's nothing like a good actress doing well.

• These pictures might be simple to some, but I think she looks very natural and fresh in them. So much better than those highly edited xianxia posters where people's features start to look abnormal.

• Looks wise, she sort of reminds me of the Park Eun Bin situation - undoubtedly pretty in a sweet way but not striking or unique enough so she’s got to stand out like PEB skills wise and own the screen if she wants to make it big. The only other show I’ve seen her in is Wonderland of Love and next to bona fide top actresses like Jing Tian, she’s at best 2FL level in bigger budget productions but could do lead roles in smaller productions, which is exactly where she is now. Or FL in a male driven ensemble cast. Her acting is pretty good so she can develop many options for herself. JJY is not a good barometer of star quality or skills.

Like, as an example, Adriana Lima and Miranda Kerr are both beautiful, but they totally have different types of beauty and vibe, Adriana is striking bombshell sexy beauty while Miranda is cute youthful doll-like beauty. For example, in many middle eastern countries, women still aren't allowed to get education. Heck, women can't even own a bank account until 1970s. Also, google how female pilots faced sabotage attempts by male pilots during world war ii because male pilots were afraid the women will do better.

    Fast forward to the present times, women in the entertainment industry are still at a disadvantage. Fans are mostly women so men are more supported. Male abusers are also always shielded (like Weinstein) while women can do a very small mistake and be cancelled for eternity.

    In short, men, society's deep-seated misogyny, and the patriarchy have always hindered women's progress since the dawn of time, and you're going to sit there and claim that men are “superior” only because women care so much about beauty?
