For a solid supporting actress working in C-ent for many years, this breakout opportunity for Zheng Hehuizi feels hard earned and I am so happy for her. She’s so easy to watch in any role I’ve seen of her. But I don’t think she’s now elevated to leading lady status but at least she’s got more biscuits on her plate for the time being. She’s reportedly entertaining supporting lead roles in S-plus dramas to lead roles in smaller dramas, and she also got a very coveted pictorial for Tiffany on it’s entry level line of hardware jewelry. She looks fantastic and honestly this is one case of popularity catching up late to talent.

I'm so happy for her! Always great to see a talented, hardworking actress getting recognition. She isn't a classic beauty but I think she is very pretty in a fresh and natural way too.
I liked her since she was second FL with Bai Jing Ting in 'Rush to the Dead Summer'. I wondered what happened to her as she was so fun and memorable in that role and BJT went on to become very successful but she kind of disappeared.
It's weird but she reminds me of Kim Jiwon and if she was born in Korea she wouldn't be stuck in side roles and would be a leading actress with an international fandom.
Too bad Chinese beauty standards are different and they prefer fancy visuals as opposed to girls who look like elegant girl next doors.
Not pale enough for Korean beauty standards
Kim Jiwon isn't pale and is more tanned than Zheng He Huizi. There's other like Hyeri, Sooyoung, Yuri, Jennie, Yoona, Kim Yoojung etc who are all tanned. Most of their popular actors are tanned and not pale too
@Guest
You could have fooled me with the amount of white make up Korean actresses use!
Also, the pale skin standard is only for women.
She is pretty but they did her dirty here - that is not a pictorial quality photo!
I would say these kinds of simple and happy, healthy vibe is what will land her more leading roles, she doesn't need a high profile with a star air look right now
She looks healthily radiant with more similar vibes to western stars. I like all these stills, simple but naturally beautiful. I don't remember her in any dramas though prolly she's always been in supporting roles.
Hi. Which Asian country are you from?
Are you referring to ethnicity or nationality? I'm an Asian American.
I wonder if you look better or worse than her because I honestly don't find beauty in this actress. Pretty average, that's how I find her. But if beauty is subjective, there shouldn't be discussions/opinions about it because we'll end up saying "our tastes are different". Lol.
It IS subjective and our taste are different, as you expected. LMAO.
I was talking about my personal definition of beauty. Anything wrong with that? How I look is irrelevant to how she looks though. Thy way you asked is quite funny. LOL.
Good for her!
She looks like a more natural looking Yang Zi. I like how she doesn't look too pale on those photos
Must you drag another Yangzi into this🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️. I'm sure if you don't write nonsense about Yang Zi everyday you won't have peace
And no Yang Zi didn't have PS
It is obvious YangZi had works done especially on her nose.
@Sirey: Ah yes! That's who she reminds me of a little bit. A more natural Yang Zi without the plastic surgery.
China has +56 ethnic groups among which there are many that dictate having pale skin by nature. The excessive pressures of the Chinese beauty standard make us forget that. Sadlu.
Haters spread false info about her, she hasn't done anything on her face

Lol yeah and suddendly her nose shape changed in Battle of Changsha to then change again a couple of years afterwards...
Another equally beautiful and has potentials to be a greater actress then many of the traffic stars. I hope she gets another leading break through. There's nothing like a good actress doing well.
These pictures might be simple to some, but I think she looks very natural and fresh in them. So much better than those highly edited xianxia posters where people's features start to look abnormal.
Looks wise, she sort of reminds me of the Park Eun Bin situation - undoubtedly pretty in a sweet way but not striking or unique enough so she’s got to stand out like PEB skills wise and own the screen if she wants to make it big. The only other show I’ve seen her in is Wonderland of Love and next to bona fide top actresses like Jing Tian, she’s at best 2FL level in bigger budget productions but could do lead roles in smaller productions, which is exactly where she is now. Or FL in a male driven ensemble cast. Her acting is pretty good so she can develop many options for herself. JJY is not a good barometer of star quality or skills.
why does beauty for women have to be highly dissected? Street beauty, bus beauty, next door beauty, porn star beauty, not strinking/unique. many absurdities created by women themselves. that's why men...
@ANOTHERGUEST
Let's me compliment your last sentence with my own take.
That's why men are always winning in life and being so much superior than women.
Because there ARE indeed many types of beauty lmao, it ain't that deep. Like, as an example, Adriana Lima and Miranda Kerr are both beautiful, but they totally have different types of beauty and vibe, Adriana is striking bombshell sexy beauty while Miranda is cute youthful doll-like beauty. Men aren't celebrated for their beauty like women are so their looks aren't discussed like that
@Hime "ain't deep"? lmao. it's because the only value women have is looks and reproduction, nothing more. right?
i think you're looking too deep into it. i see many discussions like that about men too. like for example, when some Chinese actor is cast in a fantasy drama, so many comments here would say something like, “he doesn't suit wuxia drama! he's more boy next door and is not an ethereal beauty” or something like that. i have to agree with @hime, it's natural to discuss things like this when it comes to celebrities. like if there's casting for a model-type character, who would be more suited for it, someone like nana or iu? we all know it would be nana since iu has more of a girlish soft type of beauty. the truth is, different types of beauty exist. and it's fun to sometimes discuss that, not every discussion has to be super deep. and i guess what @guess was saying is that k-ent have so many sweet pretty type of girls, so someone like park eun bin with that type of sweet look would have to be really talented to stand out. i'm a feminist too, but i really just don't see anything wrong with guest's comment and i don't see that as degrading to women or something like that. i think women have different types of beauty and they should all be celebrated. just my two cents
@Jiao what a ridiculous take. Men are “superior” to women? Are you andrew Tate's fan or something? And are you just ignoring the many obstacles women have always faced compared to men? For example, in many middle eastern countries, women still aren't allowed to get education. Heck, women can't even own a bank account until 1970s. Also, google how female pilots faced sabotage attempts by male pilots during world war ii because male pilots were afraid the women will do better.
Fast forward to the present times, women in the entertainment industry are still at a disadvantage. Fans are mostly women so men are more supported. Male abusers are also always shielded (like Weinstein) while women can do a very small mistake and be cancelled for eternity.
In short, men, society's deep-seated misogyny, and the patriarchy have always hindered women's progress since the dawn of time, and you're going to sit there and claim that men are “superior” only because women care so much about beauty? What bullcrap lmao. You're either some male incel or a pick-me girl 💀
@Another Guest Wow, WAY to put words in my mouth. NEVER said beauty is all women have to offer lmao. So if people appreciate a woman's beauty, that means people can't appreciate her other merits? Is that it? You do realize people can appreciate more than one thing in women, right? Like Angelina Jolie is a goddess, I love her beauty but I also love her being a humanitarian, her philanthropic work, her talent, etc. Why are you putting words I NEVER said in my mouth? This is absurd lol. And yes it's not that deep. The commenter literally just said that there are many Korean actresses with that type of look similar to PEB and that's why she has to be a great actress to stand out. Striking beauty is a rare type of beauty so it stands out everywhere, and PEB doesn't have that, she has a rather common look among Korean actresses. Is that wrong to point that out now? We can't have opinions on women's looks now because it means I have internalized misogyny or something, huh? And before you put words in my mouth again, yes, I talk about men's looks all the time too.
Again, AIN'T THAT DEEP LOL
